Service is extremely friendly, food is unique, fair priced and delicious is an understatement. The lady who served me was super comfy and friendly - she checked up on how things were and I felt like I was being served by a genuine person, instead of a robot (I feel like customer service at other places sometimes can be very flat and expressionless). I had the pavlova pancakes which were so perfectly put together, really yummy and super satisfying. I also had a soy flat white which went down super smoothly, the barista even managed to pour a nice looking rosetta on soy (soy latte art is hard!). There was free parking on irvell st, a 5 min walk from sister of soul. I will come back again and again whenever I'm in Melbourne until I try the whole menu. Thank you so much SoS for the best breakfast experience I've enjoyed in Melbourne. This was an experience, not just food!

Now dear reader, I am in no way vegan, so this place was always going to be some kind of experience for me. I'm delighted to report that it was fantastic. I went as part of a party of 2, and whilst it's a Saturday night and the place was certainly busy, the staff were friendly, attentive, and the food came out in a time friendly manner. The food, people. It's fantastic. Big flavours and cooked in such a way that I didn't miss meat at all. Highly recommended

Poor service, took ages to be served by an almost rude waitress. Strange look when we asked for any cakes etc to go with coffee then brought out a cold stale banana bread. It’s a shame such an experience ruins the chances of going back as it’s a cool spot to sit with open windows in the heart of st.kilda.

The atmosphere and food was excellent. Great vegetarian meals, big portions, loads of flavour and plenty of options to keep me coming back. I also very much enjoyed music on the night, perfect groove to set the mood

One of my favourite places for lunch in st Kilda! I think I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. I just have to find all the photos as o didn’t have all this in one sitting!
Awesome place, so much outdoor tables and seats, staff are lovely and love the fact that you can order from your table check out my photos. Food looks and tastes delicious even the burrito which is vegan!

I have found the food here delicious consistent and really good value. The staff have all been great, service is fast, it's clean and it has a relaxed atmosphere.

Unprofessional and curt staff! I ordered a long macchiato and waited 7 minutes, when I asked for extra milk I was given lessons on how a long macchiato is made and told they threw the warm milk out! When I insisted they make my coffee the way I requested I got dirty water, in turn I threw it straight in the bin! Absolute waste of $5.50; I’m a local and used to recommend this place frequently.won’t be happening anymore! If you can’t handle the demand don’t operate with below standard service. DISGUSTING!

Loved our lil brunch outing at the cafe. Loved the vibe, the outdoor seating and the food. The staff was friendly and accomodating to the request. The service was super quick as well.

For a fantastic oat milk chai latte and an avo
pea smash on toast head to
Sister Of Soul. The green drinks are great and the sweet potato crisps are too moorish.

Went for dinner with friends, first time eating at a fully vegan restaurant and they did not dissapoint! Enjoyed a delicious (huge) burger and vegan cheesecake. Great atmosphere, service and delicious food, highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Food pretty good as is the service but atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, draughty and we were initally put somewhere where right next to us a waitress was sorting out plates

Yes the food here is fantastic AND it really, really does caters to so many allergies and dietary requirements! Just book a table and go, it's 100% worth it.
For those who need it, the menu has fantastic key for dietary requirements: all vegan, gf, nut free, onion & garlic free.
The food always looks and tastes amazing and also comes out in relatively large decent sizes.

They have a beautiful outdoor seating area with a view of Luna Park and the sunset.
For dog watchers or owners this is fantastic as the seating is dog friendly, fits groups of up to 6, and you often find lots of cute pups sitting under table's and poking their head out for scritches as you go past.

You won't find super hearty pub style meals here, everything is more on the healthy side and vegan for those who like to be a bit health conscious. But don't let that make you think that it isn't filling as it certainly is.

I am giving this a 4 star, as the last two times I have come have found it a little hard to get table service and someone to come check back to order drinks as you are seated. Have also found that you have to flag someone down to take your order. That being said it is also incredibly busy there when I have gone, so that would certainly not help I am sure.

Overall love this place and will go back again and again and again.

Drinks came after our food, which was kind of okay because I was just happy to have something to wash the foul taste of my burrito out of my mouth.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely staff great Chai, best I've had yet. Very cosie and not too big. Been there several times and always appreciated the quiet music in the background. Highly recommend the Chai!

Beware! The place is all hype no substance. The decor is modern, but it's very noisy. As a vegetarian I was hoping to enjoy some nice great food at this specialist restaurant, but I was bitterly dissappointed. The service is terrible and they are sneaky with their charges. They have a surcharge for using your tap n go facility, which they don't tell you about until you see it charged when you tap. Btw, the surcharge is 1.4% for Mastercard and I assume for Visa too. Probably higher for Amex or Diners. This on top of their overly priced food. The portion sizes are reasonable, but the taste is poor. I ordered the Nasi Goreng, when it arrived it was burnt and that too did not arrive with the sriracha I asked for as part of the order. The Tofu was so burnt it was like eating charcoal. When I complained, they offered to replace it, but instead of making me another dish, they had the odacity to tell me that its supposed to taste like that because the wok is hot so perhaps I should choose another dish. As if I don't know the difference between burnt and proper food. Anyway, I then ordered the burrito, that was well presented, but it had no salt. It was so bland that I had to order the sriracha to make it better. The fresh juice on the menu, well it's not that fresh. It was just bottled and at $7.50, that's a hefty price. The other dishes my group ordered also didn't taste that great. The burger my partner ordered was soggy even though the food came out quick. The sticky date pudding we ordered seemed like it was store bought. It was extremely sweet and tasted like it had been topped with just sugar syrup. I would be staying away from this restaurant!

It's heaven for vegan lovers. Grab a seat besides the window on a sunny winter morning along with classic vegan cuisines is the best possible breakie. Extremely friendly staff.

Neither vegan nor vegetarian but a friend of ours was so we ended up here.

Great flavours, I had the special which was a Japanese Curry with a croquette stuffed with roasted pumpkin (I think that's what it was!)

Absolutely delicious. My wife had the Nasi Goreng and our friend had the Jack Black Burger that wasn't really black? Maybe I'm remembering wrong but all around yummy food with great textures.

Ordered a soy flat white post dinner and it was amazing. St. Ali coffee, can't go wrong!

I’m neither vegan or vegetarian, but was looking for a good coffee in the early evening.no dairy here of course, but I was advised that an oat “milk” latte was the way to go. I was wary, but lo and behold - the very helpful staff member (Canadian or American accent) was right on the money, the coffee was great and I’ll be back. Thank you.

Delicious food with enormous portions for a more than reasonable price. Great atmosphere with pleasant and helpful staff. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
