Siriphen Thai Restaurant

Hi Everyone,
We have been dining and doing take for long time with Siriphen. It was just fantastic prior to Covid. Since then its its gone down hill rapidly maybe a new chief who knows. Last 2 takeaway meals half went straight in the rubbish bin. Im not prepared to waste $75+ on lousy greasy sub standard food. Maybe the delivery charges into the quality. We are givingit a total miss till it improves.

Second time in this place. A typical neighbourhood restaurant that can host casual and special events. Nothing over the top. I had the green curry and shared the papaya salad. The first thing that surprised me is the lack of heat from both dishes. For me, it was a bit disappointing. The food tasted Ok but did not live up to my memories from the last visit.

One food take 2 hours because all food was frozen I never come back and dirty and keep lie 10 Min 10 min it took 2 hours

Their food is absolutely delicious. Everytime we go there the food tastes better! We had the softshell crab, prawn green curry and pulled pork pancake which were so tasty! Good selection of drinks as well. Would highly recommend this place happy tummies and customers.

Unexpected waiting time after i got a ready pickup message. I am not sure why they click ready pickup while they haven't ready. (°ー°〃)

A fantastic restaurant with excellent food. It gets quite busy so would recommend booking first to make sure you get a seat. Byo wine option available makes it great value. Definitely recommend.

Called to order takeaway and was told to hold for 'a minute'. Twelve minutes later I had to hang up and had to order elsewhere. Not great service.

I ordered take away and it took a very long time to arrive, almost an hour, but the food was really delicious and we enjoyed it very much. The other unfortunate thing was because the food took so long to get here we had to warm it up in the microwave but fortunately didn’t disturb the food itself. Thumbs up from me. I will order from there again, but if the food takes nearly an hour to get here again, it may be the last time, even though the food was very good and worth the wait.

Waited 2hrs for Uber eats then cancelled - Uber are blaming the restaurant saying the cannot meet the times they are committing to. Really ruins your night waiting this long to NOT eat.

Fabulous food.service a little slow.be prepared to try and get their attention to order.but the papaya salad in particular is gorgeous

The coconut prawns were a treat, but the chicken satay skewers a little dry. Pad Thai & Green Curry chicken is not as tasty as other places. No discount for cash

I m working for a food delivery company and I got order from this restaurant because I was near by and I went then I saw pickup time was 30 min before so I have ask for order they told me 5 min but after 30 min of waiting they just told me to cancel the order so I please to all the customer plz don’t order food from this restaurant or else you will not get a food on time. Thank you

Such a shame. I have gone here multiple times with family and had the most wonderful time. Last night, I decided to take a friend and told her how nice this restaurant was - we ordered at 820pm, at 845pm we got our drinks and by 9pm our entrees. Whilst busy chatting we suddenly realised it was 920pm and we still had not received our food. Upon speaking to a staff member we were told our order had been missed and they were going to make the food asap.

We got our mains at 945pm - I asked if we could still order dessert knowing the kitchen might close soon. The staff assured me dessert would be fine.

We finished our mains, ordered dessert. About 5 minutes later we got told that they cannot make our desserts.

Whilst the mains were given free of charge for the inconvenience caused, it was such a disappointing experience. My friend said she will never go back and it's such a shame because I know how good this place can be.

So the night ended with us ordering sundaes from McDonalds. A far way off from Thailand that what we hoped for.

My go-to Thai. The Pad Grapow, Pad Thai Papaya Salad are delicious. The Duck stir fry on the specials menu is always a hit. Great food.

Always an outstanding and delicious, flavoursome treat. The absolute Thai take away in the area by far. Sure beats home cooking!

Thanks guys, that was a fabulous father's Day dinner. And enough for lunch tomorrow.

I ordered via Uber Eats, so I can’t comment on the restaurant or service.

Ordered the pad tai and tom yang and both were really good. I reckon it would have been much better at the restaurant right out of the kitchen, but no complaints.

The pad tai noodles were firm in a good way, without being too soft, which often happens when not eaten quickly. And I was a bit concerned that the tom yang would get cold during the delivery process, but it was nice and hot. Granted I live only a block away, but still a good meal.

Update:

I also ordered the fried rice with beef, and quite frankly, it’s a BIG hit or miss. The first time, the rice was firm and hot. It had the “made from fresh rice” taste that’s familiar to rice eaters. The second time, however, the rice was soggy as if it had been sitting around a bit or re-fried. No firmness or texture to it. The grains didn’t have the firmness that you’d expect in a freshly fried rice dish. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I’ll be looking for a different Thai place from now on.

We dined here tonight. A very sweet and helpful girl called Pam served us today. It was a very pleasant experience. I've been there once before as well. Food is very delicious and well presented. We tried Pad thai, thai fried rice, egg noodles, and Tom yum soup, all very tasty. It was very busy time, but the staff were very friendly and attentive, no matter how busy they are.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Have been there few times and always have a great time. The only issue is that sometimes the waiting for the food is too long.
