SinJeon Tteokbokki reviews
41Nice place to eat quick snacks. We ordered ttobokki and assorted fried plates. The portion was quite small to be $18. Taste was good though. Ttobokki was good. It will be nice if they have some menu suggestion. For example, ttobokki1 rice cake+ noodle+eggs $24. Otherwise It is very overpriced to order as additional toppings.
A sweet spot I came across during my travels! The best here with friendly staff and delicious food!
You always get the best Korean street food. The kimbap is always on point
Delicious and fast service
The fried chicken with sweet chili was amazing.and I like beef Kim bab and a new menu called Jjajang Ramyeon. It was tasty. You should try and the price is affordable:)
I love Sinjeon! My favourite Korean food, really affordable and I love how they cater to Muslim customers. Definitely recommend the K-ramen and rose teokbokki
I like going here but the only weird thing is that the dumplings are now rice dumplings. It was a little disappointing.however the rest of the food is great
Cheap and easy korean bites to have. Kimbap, tteokbokki, ramyun, bibbimbap, and fried chicken all at a very reasonable price. Their kimchi cheese kimbap and rose tteokbokki is something I will get every time.
Online ordering, but don't expect it will be authentic because they don't serve side dishes such as kimchi. You get only what you order online, that's it.
Ordered 2 items via Ubereats. First was gimbap, that was great. Decent portion size and tasty.
Second was Topokki. This was terrible. Almost no Dokk only sauce. Definately ripped off, and when i complained, they refused to refund me. Avoid ordering the Topokki.
Tastes like Sinjeon dduk-bok-ggi you can get from Korea. The deep fried side dishes and gim-bap were also really tasty.
Would not recommend.bad staff with no respect towards customers.they only care about completing the orders and not the quality of the service. Many other Korean restaurants with better service and attitude nearby!

Excellent K-street food/snack food. The ramen and the tuna with shredded egg were both delicious; and the gimbap (kimbap) was excellent. Ordering and payment was via scanning a QR code, which wasn't difficult or onerous. Good atmosphere (k-pop music playing in the background, includibg some of the bigger grouos). Great venue for an easy, relaxed and quick bite (or take your time to eat).
The restaurant had 3 free tables when we arrived. After multiple attempts to talk to the staff, we sat down ourselves as it was raining. Immediately, we were asked to go outside in the rain and write our own names on the waiting list. We waited for approximately 30 minutes, and as people left, there were more tables free. Then, one staff member came out to vape and blew smoke into us. I was very confused as it wasn't busy, and there were a lot of free tables. There was no one else on the waiting list. Eventually, we decided to go to another Korean restaurant nearby instead which served us immediately with much better service. The communication at SinJeon was poor and essentially non-existent. I would never come back for this poor service.
If you’re into korean street food that are mainstream like tteokbokki or ramyun, this is the place to go in Melbourne highly recommend to come with a bunch of friends so you can share different types of food thus you can enjoy more variety (: I personally love their fried snacks and the ramyun since you can dip the fried snacks into the ramyun broth — delicious!
Really good Korean food. Almost everything is halal. One of the best places to have fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, K-dog or corndog and toakbaki
Great and classic Korean Street Food! Beef bibimbap and cheese topokki are my favorites!
Plus, I am impressed that they are friendly to welcome customers after 2: 30pm and double check if you need anything else 5mins before the kitchen is closed, when it’s hard to find a place to eat at that time.
Very small portions which are overpriced, plus there are better Korean stores In Melbourne. Tteokbeoki was watery and lacked flavour. My friend and I both ate here for lunch and we both got food poisoning the next day.
Cheap and delicious food served here, like. REALLY cheap. A bit hidden, but once found, it's in an ally surrounded by more places to check out.
Came in for lunch. Still crowded. Ordered set B and the food came. It’s all in small plates and stainless steel wok. Overall, not so value for money
Authentically awesome!
We can confirm that the taste was just the same as the Korea's Sinjeon. It bring so much nostalgic and joyful.
Moreover, all the signature menus are amazing, super delicious, prepared in second, and perfect. It should be more than 5-star rating, since it 100% halal!
Just be minded that the shop will close in between 15.00 and 17.00, so you can enjoy the food for lunch and dinner. And please be patient if you face a long queue.
That's it, enjoy!
