Simonds Catholic College

As a parent who had his Son go to this school, Id honestly rate it 2 stars, the biggest issue with this school is that many of the teachers are egotistical and unprofessional. When he was in year 12 he used to get forced to do SACs before school at 7am whilst being given 4-5 hours homework and having to maintain a job and personal life at the same time, all because the teachers couldnt cooordinate and schedule good times. Another issue with the school is that the teachers expect very highly from the students, which is good in some ways, But i cannot say that they met their basic teaching expectations (I.e lesson planning, giving the students study guides). Overall this school is decent, but I cannot blame students for not wanting to learn or just plain giving up in an environment like this

My child loved this school. Peter the principal and the teachers are fantastic. But the year 7 coordinator bullied my child out of the school. “This school isn’t right for you” “Maybe you should go to your brothers school? ! ” Endless detentions for minor incidents. Cornered and intimidated him in the classroom. Then lied about his comments.

This school is top class, the principle knows the name of your son, its fairly small but really strong student efficacy. Sport is not great as they don't have a lot of space but the results at the end of year 12 are exceptional across the state. The teachers are very friendly and professional!

Great school for boys. Very caring teacher. Great support from Principal and school community. Highly recommended.

My daughter thrived at this school, very well built. The walls are quiet sturdy. My daughter always liked steel frames, so when she entered this school, she was delighted.

Luchie mentioned something about the strong walls, didn't he? My niece has a strong affinity for solid walls. She has the impression that she is one with the architecture. I've heard about the insulation, and how it's made of fairy floss. I hope that isn't the case

In other words, regardless of its walls, Simonds appears to be the place to be. My nephew enjoys playing table tennis in the yard. My niece is envious of him.

As a parent of a student at the school, I cannot speak highly enough of the teachers, principal, administration, and counsellors. The team effort in ensuring the students excel and care given to them is exceptional.

Overall high academic culture at the school, at times disciplinary issues result from some of the students. Incidents are reported, rather than dealt with meaningfully. Issues need to be escalated, then addressed. Improvements can be made. Best of luck for the new year.

As a student of Simonds catholic college I would honestly rate this a 3 out of 5 stars. It does have a wide range of activities and extra groups but sometimes the teachers may be too strict and give you detention for the smallest things. The education is pretty good and nice classrooms but this school does have many aggressive kids that resort to violence so be warned. A new rule they put in is that if the principle finds the school not in the best shape as in if there’s rubbish on the ground then everyone will stay in and one class will clean everything up but other than that it’s all good?

This school is TRASH! It gave me AiDS! They mak this school look good when you first come in but when you actually start it is caotic! The teachers are so rude you ca get a detetion for almost anything.

Rather send my so to a orphanage. This school is absolutely horrible, in other words it is "cancer".

Best catholic college ever. The teachers are so nice and are always helping you and the school offers A grade education with great teaching techniques. The school also offers a huge amount of extra thing available during the school year including huge amount of inter school sports and activities

Great school, some little gangsters who do bad illegal things. Apart from that, most teachers are the most supportive people.
