Silver Spoon Estate reviews
12My partner and I had the best dining and wining experience. The host Traci was most lovely to speak to and her explanation of the different wines as part of the tasting was informative and engaging. The food, which was prepared by the new chef Andy, matched so well with the wine and every plate went back to the kitchen completely clean! Highly recommend Silver Spoon Estate and we cannot wait to go back to try other menu items, in a most beautiful spot amongst the Heathcote wine region.
I absolutely love silver spoon estate, the food is always amazing and so are the staff. I went today and got the gnocchi and it was beautiful. Definitely would recommend to others.
Amazing wine and hospitality!
Silver spoon estate surpassed all expectations. Tracey greeted us as if we were old friends, then proceeded to introduce us to her and husband Peter’s wines by telling stories of each vintage and explaining the flavour profile of each wine in easy to understand language. If you like one wine, you will like them all. Eagerly awaiting the release of this years Monster which is absolutely amazing and so easy to drink (will be buying it by the case). Definitely try the fortified Shiraz, especially with the beautiful homemade brownies.
We had a great time with our tasting and even got a special sneak peak at their fermenting process. The platter was lovely. The owners shared great information and stories about their wines they deservedly take pride in.
The Fandango and Rosé are fantastic!
Also cool to visit a vineyard that's powered off-grid.
Owners, Tracie and Peter, are passionate winemakers and you can truly tell, which made my experience with Silver Spoon Estate absolutely amazing! Both were friendly, and I love that the winery is family-run too. So, if you're looking for a great experience, you need to try here - you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic tasting - learnt about the wines, the vines, the property and sustainable approach. Tracie was a fantastic host, greeting me by name (I had booked) and making us feel very welcome. It’s clear Peter has both a passion and an aptitude for wine and wine making. They got busy with walk-ins so I’d recommend making a booking given limited capacity with COVID restrictions. We walked away happy and relaxed and with a dozen bottles.
Been a few years since our last visit but Tracie and Peter made us feel extremely welcome.
The wines were great, especially enjoyed the Viognier, The Ensemble 2017 Shiraz and the East meets West 2018 Shiraz
Also, had a platter which we enjoyed with the tasting.
Thanks again Tracie and Peter for looking after us and we look forward to another visit you have completed your extensions to the cellar door.
Tracie was a wonderful host! She was extremely funny and knowledgeable, we left knowing a lot more about the wines. Their wines are sensational and you can see and taste the hard work and dedication that goes into each bottle.
Had a wonderful time sitting with Tracie for a solo tasting over the course of about 45 minutes and learnt a lot about the history of the area and the vineyard. Absolutely sensational wines especially their various Shiraz labels which Tracie ensured I tried 4 of side by side. Will absolutely be back again in the future with friends.
Such a great tasting experience, covering not just interesting info about the wine, but local area history, geological info, and really great insights into more sustainable farming methods. Couldn’t have been a more enjoyable way to spend an hour, and take away some great wine.
Our visit to Silver Spoon was fantastic. Peter was happy to open the cellar door for us during the week and the welcome was very warm. It was a relaxing journey tasting the range of wines and chatting with him about each vintage, the history of the vineyard, and how the business evolved. It was a personal and professional time spent with him. The picnic we had with was enjoyed taking in the views. Wonderful wines and hospitality which couldn't be bettered.
