Disgusting, worst fish and chips I've been too.potato cakes were so oily and over cooked.chips were aweful. First and last time.

Silver Mermaid Fish and Chips, what a disappointment we ordered our fish, hamburger in batter, potatoe cakes, crab sticks and chips. We asked if they would well drain the oil, unfortunately when we got home which was only 5 minutes away it was draining with oil and it tasted old oil which by the way you could smell as you walked in. Hamburger in batter you could not eat, the chips where soggy. That’s one take away shop we will not go near again, wasted our money as most was thrown out.

Love the food here. Their chips with chicken salt are fantastic and would definitely recommend with a veggie burger if you're vegetarian.

Went a few weeks ago, had horrible stomach pains and couldn't stop going to the toilet and throwing up, way too oily. All 6 of us were sick for 3 days. Never ever again.

Very Average. Ordered the Family pack with two of the fish grilled. All the fish fillets were extremely small and tasteless. The Dim Sims were cold and very small.
Potatoes cakes were all batter.
The Pineapple Fritter was good.

Best fish and chips ever! This is always our go-to for fish and chips. Even though we have other fish and chip shops closer to home, we would happily travel further for this. Amazing quality, friendly service, great value, and the owners are so wonderful! What a fantastic family-owned business who definitely cares about their quality and their customers.

Without a doubt the BEST potato cakes I have eaten! Light batter, non-greasy delicious-ness! I asked the owner how they made them taste so good and they make them fresh every morning (slicing the potatoes!) - next level. I don't live nearby, but these are worth travelling for!

Excellent customer service, but quality of crumbled fish and prawns was not too notch. It is okay if you are desperate and hungry, but lacks flavour. Sorry guys, for such a review but this is honest feedback and I hope this will help you to improve.

Great taste. Fresh and crispy and friendly staff. Facility and environment a bit dated. Other than that happy with their menu.

The best fish and chips hands down. We've been going there for 15 years and it never disappoints. One of few around who actually have handmade potato cakes these days and the fish is always fresh and delicious. Lovely staff too.

Great friendly service. The only issue I have was that the 2 pieces of flake I ordered was so small for the price. Joining the two pieces together would have made 1 flake.

No matter how many times I come to buy myself a good feed the souvlaki has got to be my absolute favourite! Always made perfectly and fulfils all requests. Definitely recommend and I dare say this is one of the best fish and chips shops I have gone too!
