Silvan Reservoir Park

Nice place for the kids to play and some picnic benches. We we're hoping to have a view of the reservoir, but you would only see the stone wall if sitting by the kids play area.

A bit disappointed as can't see the actual reservoir for itself, just like you could see the Cardinia Reservoir!

So much space for family gatherings and walking. Plenty of parking, 2 carparks. The first carpark is next to the reservoir viewing area, the second and biggest is the picnicking and walking area. Very peaceful.

A great stop over if you are visiting the flower festival nearby.lots of space for bbq, picnic and gathering, beautiful trees and has a playground for kids too.

Huge open grassy area and large carpark. Lots of picnic space, takes and barbeques. Nice walk up to the to of the reservoir

Good spot for a bbq.but the walking tracks are closed off because of fallen trees.friendly birds are always around the bbq facilities.

Very good walking track, enjoing the tree, ferns N scenery, me n the bush walking group walks 15 KM up/down the hills aroun the area.

For me it was beauitful but for my kids it was boring! I wanted to take them bushwalking but the track was closed with a gate and a big old padlock

Perfect place for a family picnic, though you can only see the dam from the carpark at the very top.

The view from above is beautiful however the reservoir is not visible from the shores, the park next to it is separated by a dam and most of the tracks around the park aren't accessible. The facilities are good and the children's park looks nice enough!

Picnic spot ok but no walking tracks all shut off for public, playground outdated, not much to see as fenced off

Large grass picnic area suitable to take the kids or family. Lots of families there when I visited who had brought their own portable gas BBQs, not sure if that is allowed but the park ranger was doing rounds in his truck and didn't tell anyone off so I assume that's okay. The park has some electric BBQs provided and a public toilet block.

A great place for a family picnic with plenty of picnic tables to choose from.
Plenty of open space for the kids to run around and play.
Large trees to hide under for those hot sunny days.
The Playground is pretty basic and due for an upgrade.
Features: Public toilets, Bbq facilities (though limited) and ample carparks.

Loved the time spent here today! It was sunny and cool in the right proportions! Relaxed in nature, experimented with my phone camera and also, looked at clouds through hyperlapse.day spent well!

Beautiful you'll love it. Excellent picnic spot with kids. Please make sure you check their website for latest news as they are frequently updated. I rate this as one of the best picnic spots.

Limited parking, best to come early or late Arvo. Messy grounds practically all weeds. There are better places in the area, I wouldn’t come here again.

Great place with lots of shady areas, BBQ plates, tables. No option to go to the wall and see the reservoir. If you want one picnic spot with lots of grassland area to spend few hours with familes then go for this. A lots of nice walks too in the nearby Dandenongs Ranges.

Disappointing you can't actually get to the dam. There is one small viewing area in the carpark behind a barbed wire fence. Picnic grounds are nice enough but behind the dam wall, no water views. Wouldnt recommend this spot if you're looking for a scenic walk.

It is beautiful place with good scenes around, plenty of area to have a bbq and amazing songs of birds.

Very nice place. But remember, you need to take your rubbish with you. Also there is a coal ash disposal there too.
