Silk World

Helpful staff tracked down an extra piece of the silk I had ordered. I was prewarned that there were small tears and holes. The silk itself appears to be what I need but haven't used it yet. There is still a strong smell from it in spite of washing and vinegar rinse - hopefully it will fade with time

Staff were very helpful with samples and a remnant I purchased. We purchased the final fabric (Satin crepe 100% silk in gold) and then extra which was delivered with 24 hours! The result was superb, and the fabric devine to work with.

The 'soft' tulle wasn't of the quality I had hoped for, however quite a lot of it was provided for the price it is so that's good.

Oh, such a wide choice of dupion silk makes decisions difficult (is this why I've used this business multiple times?) but, decision made.ordering easy, delivery super-fast and hooray, another piece of beautiful fabric.

I ordered samples of 2 of the silk velvets, which arrived promptly, well-labelled. The fabric is very expensive for an amateur, so I'd like to make use of the samples whether or not I go on to buy the fabric - which I'd love to, it's drop-dead gorgeous, but I'd need 5-7m of each for costumes I might or not sell. In the meantime I would use the samples for practising gold embroidery or for trims or button coverings. One of the 2 samples was roughly stapled into the card cover so it arrived very creased, making it useless for any further work. This was disappointing and implies a lack of respect for the fabric and what creators would do with it. Not the appropriate attitude for a luxe fabric store, I would think. Very small and cheap purchase, but the damage was careless and unnecessary. Love this store otherwise, I have followed them for some time.

Very helpful staff, went above and beyond to help me check fabric after a devastating flood stock loss in my workshop. Fabric is beautiful, quality and look just as described, and was the fastest easiest transaction I think I've ever had online! 100% wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again.
