Food was delicious, the blonde hair young lady staff was so rude to force customer to eat quickly and get out the shop because she need that table for next customer.

I went on my own with no reservation, I was expecting them to have counters for people who go to eat alone. Luckily there was a free table. I ordered a miso pork ramen, and this is certainly the best ramen I had in Melbourne so far. One of the best I ever had. The noodles were firm, the soup flavourful, the pork was grilled, tasty and juicy, it was amazing.

I made it my mission to come here the minute the doors opened after 5 attempts at trying to dine in here without having to wait 45 minutes for a seat

This is easily my favourite Ramen bar in Melbourne. We tried the
Seafood Ramen ($18) Pork broth ramen served with corn, bean sprout, black fungus, nori seaweed, spring onions and assorted seafood.
Pork Ramen ($17.50) Signature pork ramen in Tonkotsu broth with your choice of sauce base - Shoyu or Miso. Served with corn, bean sprout, bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, spring onions, marinated egg and grilled pork belly.
Iced Matcha Latte ($6)
Iced Matcha & Softee ($6.80)

This place is so good. The noodles were so chewy and cooked to perfection and there was so much depth of flavours in the broth.

You order by QR code on your phone- It’s really busy (I mean the past attempts I was turned away bc they were so full) but we didn’t have to wait long at all for the ramen to come! It was around a 10 minute wait for the food to come, and it came warm and such a generous and filling serving.
The matcha was great too- such a nice drink to have with the comforting ramen.

The lady that looked after us was so thoughtful and considerate of our dining experience. Food was delicious and definitely value for money!

The most standout aspect of the ramen for me was the broth. We had the chashu pork ramen and the black pork ramen. It’s super creamy and meaty- highly recommended. There’s also nice area at the back where you get seated and it makes the experience feel even more authentic.

Definitely new management in the place. Less welcoming when you come and when you go. Normally you are unable to book tables here but I'm guessing now you can as there were signs on the tables that say reserved. My husband and I don't take long to eat however we got there at 6pm last night and we were told to wait 20 minutes even though there were two tables available that we saw. We asked to be put on the waiting list to be called and got called around 5 minutes later as they cleared the reserved tables for us and sat us down. Asked us to use the qr code which did not work so we had to line up to be served at the counter anyway. Everything has increased in price and a credit card surcharge added. Food was not the same husband was very disappointed in the Teriyaki beef bento as it was very small dry strips of beef that came out way after my ramen. The takoyaki were mainly empty hardly any octopus in them. They forgot the beer until I'm asked. I'm sure no one would've served it to us if we didn't ask although they're more than happy to charge us for it. Everyone looked depressed serving people and the short haired lady was open swearing about the staff in earshot of customers.

We travel a long way to go to Carnegie since we moved out of the area but won't be keen to go back anytime soon or as regularly as we used to. Will have to find another good ramen place. Sigh.

Went to Shyun Ramen for dinner and ordered their chashu pork ramen. There were a couple of thick chashu pork slices and the broth was so flavourful, portion was average. The iced matcha, served with red beans, was pretty good too. Took away one of their dry noodles but it was unfortunately nowhere near as good as their ramen; teriyaki chicken lacked sauce and flavour.

The ramen they offer here is amazing. Give this place a try when you have craving for their amazing meat broth ramen!

I tried the Seafood ramen today, and it was so good! The soup broth exceeded my expectation. Tbh, I think this is the best ramen I’ve eaten; the price was $16.5, which is okay! I also had the matcha latte with softee ($6.8), and I wish it could be sweeter (the matcha flavour was a bit weak and bitter, in my opinion).
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience for me, and I’ll definitely come back to try some more dishes on their menu!

Best Ramen in the south East, and they have more seats at the back with QR code menu ordering.

Relaxed atmosphere with great genuine Japanese cuisine. Ramen is very tasty and very reasonably priced. Great little place. It reminded me of my trip to Japan back in 2019:)

I think the chef and owner changed and most of the staff speak in Mandarin. The service is not very good. The waitress asked us to wait for 30 minutes and would call me when having table. We don’t mind waiting outside, however they had available tables but no one called me. Finally, I walked into the restaurant again, they asked me to sit down. At that moment, they were not very busy but their arrangement was quite bad.

An excellent and affordable option for dinner, any day of the week!

Even though their prices have gone up over time (can’t blame them for that), Shyun is still relatively cheap ($13-16 a bowl). Serving sizes are deceiving - I always think the portions are so small when I get served, but then I’m unable to finish my meal! So expect to get nice and full when you eat here

The menu is very large meaning there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend getting a few sides to go with your mains. I recommend takoyaki (octopus balls) and agedashi tofu.

They have a smooth ordering system where you can just go up the counter and order what you like, where you pay before you eat. It’s great because you never have to worry about split bills. With the ramen bowls, you can pick your soup base (between miso and shoyu) which means you get to personalise it a bit!

They do not take bookings but if they’re full, they write your name down and call you when they have a table ready so you can wander around Carnegie until then.

My one reservation about this place is how they aren’t yet doing their bit to be sustainable. Plastic cups, cutlery, and containers litter the entire restaurant (you can see heaps just in the one photo I attached). I totally understand that disposable cups/cutlery cut down on the need for dishwashing, but they should really invest in biodegradable paper items - which pretty much every other restaurant these days have. They get a few online orders for food as well that go out in those terrible plastic containers. I’m hoping this restaurant can take a step in the right direction to help reduce plastic waste and help our dying planet.

Overall, highly recommend you give this place a try. And try not to use their plastic while you’re there. Lol

I didn’t realised that cleared soup based ramen existed tho.
Well, quite good but salty on my taste actually…
Anyway, reasonable price, good quality of foodie.

3.5 star. It’s good but not as good as the H-ramen: p.

I had their pork ramen with shoyu based soup and tasted my friend chicken ramen with miso based soup. Love the miso one better haha. The chasu was pretty good tho, noodles were firm and nice, broth was a bit thicker than my liking, the softboiled egg was okay.
Their takoyaki was pretty good as well.

Ordered the gyōza, sichuan ramen, pork shoyu, chicken karage shoyu, spicy pork miso. Good bowls of ramen but nothing spectacular.

Extremely good Ramen. I also enjoyed their Miso soup and Takoyaki.

Every time I come here, it gets better and better. The broth is so rich, hearty and full of flavour!

My partner and I always order the ramen through Uber eats and I gotta say PHENOMENAL RAMEN! The egg is out of this WORLD. Best ramen I have ever got the luxury of eating. Thank you and I can't wait to order again!

Was okay but restaurant was absolutely filthy, you could tell the pork broth was not made with too much care. Or time.
