I recently attended the Annakut Mahotsav at the Swaminarayan Hindu Temple on New Year's Day, and it was truly a delightful experience! The temple's celebration was spectacular, with a variety of delectable dishes offered during the event. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was beautifully presented as part of the annakut. It was a fantastic way to usher in the new year, surrounded by the spiritual ambiance of the temple and enjoying such amazing culinary offerings. Highly recommend attending this event next year!

House of lord Is always pious and holy.would be great if they could deliver sermons or prayers in English or Hindi as well not in gujrati only! You feel left out and not part of the community! Hope the management takes it into account seriously and makes some efforts towards it.

Peaceful and Serene environment. One can be at peace with themselves as well as the surroundings, at this house of Lord SwamiNarayan.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple is one of the beautiful and peaceful temple located in Eastern suburbs in Boronia, Belgrave line. The temple's structure is beautiful and the inside is even more beautiful with many God and Goddesses sculptures and statues. There are statues of Shiva- Parvati, Rama, Ganesh, Hanuman and main statue Lord Shree Swaminarayan at the centre. The inside feel is absolutely peaceful. You don't have to wait for Pujari (Priest) for puja, you can bring your things and do puja by yourself, though there is a certain fixed times for arati & aradhana.
You will get enough shoes & slippers space keeper outside the temple entrance, you will also get washrooms at the corner of first entrance. Further, you can also buy ladoos and other prasads just at the corner of the temple, but you have to check about its opening hours.

Specially, if you are Hindu and spiritual by nature then you must visit this temple.

It's a beautiful temple for worship. Peaceful environment and a good place to be around here. Many community activities involvements and traditional festivals. You can buy a variety of Indian sweets as well as snacks. We just order sweet this Diwali it was delicious. The quality is fantastic at a reasonable price.

Nice temple. Visited because in India Swaminarayan temple is famous. As we entered the main hall, we saw the hall was divided with a big wooden wall. Men and women have to sit separate without being visible to each other. Soon afterwards katha followed and a lady asked us all women to leave the main hall and follow her. The men kept sitting in the main hall with the dieties and the priest doing katha while us women were taken to an adjacent empty hall where there were sound systems playing the prayers from main hall. I didn't get the discrimination by gender being pushed into us so went to the main office to ask the reason. "The reason men and women are separated is because of our religious rules. "
So, i asked, is it with all Swaminarayan temples across the globe where you discriminate by gender?
The answer, "No, here in Melbourne due to covid we have decided to separate the crowd in two halls to avoid crowding. "
I said, "Fair enough, good decision. But why did you separate the crowd by gender and not by number or family?
No answer. Where God doesn't discriminate, men discriminate in 2021 by gender in a country like Australia.
