Shop Ramen Preston reviews
49Very good izakaya style joint. JDM beers, delicious buns and Ramen is rich and generous my new fave spot!
All the food here is amazing quality and the staff are super friendly. L I really enjoy the Tan Tan Men Beef Ramen but the Miso BBQ Chicken Ramen Is really nice on a cold day too. The malt beer that they have on tap is really good too, One of my favorite beers in Melbourne. We eat here at least once a fortnight when we are in town. Love it.
I ordered the veg miso ramen with no egg. A very tasty dish but the serving could certainly have been better for $22.
The restaurant itself is very small so I ended up sitting outside at a table in the cold where they have no umbrellas for the weather (It started raining while I was eating)
The ramen at this place is out of this world! The beef ramen is so so good! Highly recommend!
Great ramen. Would love a small and large option. Mostly large because the ramen was so beautiful I wanted more.
I can't believe I waited so long to have ramen again and for the BBQ chicken ramen at Shop Ramen it was worth the wait.
Absolutely delicious and a clever deviation from traditional Ramen. Would love to see some more artwork on the walls to give this place a pop of colour, but regardless I will be back.
This place never disappoints.consistent every time which I love, the staff are all nice and friendly, and the food always comes out fast. Thank you to the cooks I love you all hahaha <3
Food was good & the staff are attentive. However the value for money is not there.
We ordered an entree, 2 Ramens, & 2 drinks and it cost $70. After paying we realised they charge a 5% weekend surcharge on bills. A restuarants main trading days are Saturday and Sunday. If you're going to charge a weekend surcharge you may as well just update the menu to reflect the higher price.
Unbeatable to be honest, just as good as the one of smith street. Staff really friendly and welcoming! This is your spot for ramen!
I love this place, best Ramen outside the CBD. The Miso BBQ Chicken with Jalapenos is my favourite!
Cute shop, nice staff, tasty ramen with plenty of noodles.
I dislike when a vegetarian option caters to what they think veggie hipsters want instead of just trying to make an authentic product but without meat. The veg ramen doesn’t need kale on it. It could have ingredients found in Japanese ramen like corn or menma bamboo. I ordered the bamboo on the side since it wasn’t included. Strange.
Otherwise, very tasty:) thanks.
Slurp. Burp. Smirk. The Vegetarian Ramen isn't technically ramen, but it is a thing, a delicious, satisfying, moreish thing! I wish they did half ramen so that I could fit in those buns too. Bomb it with chilli.also. Sake. Enjoy, but every night is too much.
Love this ramen. This is a once a fortnight absolute MUST.
My only gripe (and it’s a small one) is that I wish there was an option for thinner more traditional style ramen noodles, and (its a bigger one) they don’t deliver with any provider!
Great Japanese place with delicious ramen. I ordered Tan Tan Men ramen and it hit the spot. One of the best ramen places in Melbourne, especially around Northcote, Thornbury and Preston area. The ramen was slightly spicy but that’s due to the kimchi. The pork belly bao and brisket bao were there perfect entree dishes. Super tasty and full of flavour. Service was great and the food came out quickly. I can’t wait for round 2 to try out the pork and chicken ramens.
Lovey attentive staff with great recommendation skills. Very nice ramen without a wild array of choices. My waitstaff recommended a choice and was able to remove the chilli for me as I struggle with spicy food. My dinner was delicious and very satisfying. Would recommend to families and couples on a date alike.
Tasty, but for $20 it was just broth with two thin pieces of meat. I can get 2 serves of broth with more meat for $20 on High St. Service was also abysmal
Got take away. Was nice however I think $22 is a quite steep for an average serving size of ramen. Did enjoy the meal!
So yum! I had the tantanmen and it was rich and delicious. The broth was perfect! I also had the Yuzu sipper and it was the perfect compliment.
Love Shop Ramen! Best ramen in the area. It’s always busy and there is sometimes a wait, but it’s so worth it.
Shop Ramen is the best in Melbourne. If I knew I was going to die tomorrow then tonight I go to Shop Ramen and have a Shio Ramen with a Chilli Bomb and some perfectly poured, cold draft beer.
