Yoko of Shoku Iku has made creating healthful foods into an artform. For years she has cultivated her passion for health giving food into a business that offers a wide variety of products including raw treats, cakes, savoury foods, juices and a variety of elixirs and powdered natural nutritional supplements. Yoko puts passion and love into her creations and it certainly shows.

I ordered a raw vegan cake for my Birthday, it was so beautiful and so much effort was taken into making both the design and flavour. You are able to choose whatever combination of flavours you want in your cake, I would highly recommend Shoku Iku.

I ordered acerola powder from Yoko on the 21st of January 2020. I hoped it would be sent well before the Australia Day holidays. 48 hours passed and I still not had a confirmation email of it being sent.

I contacted Yoko on the friday of my order asking if it was sent. I was told it would be sent the following week. Whilst the store was open and trading, it wasn't sent for a week, and there was no reason as to why my order was held.

To add insult to injury, it was then sent with Sendle, one of the worst courier companies in Australia. I then waited a further 7 days for it to be received to me.

Considering the business is located in Victoria and I am in NSW, I did not expect to wait 16 days from payment to receive my product in the mail.

The packaging of the product is beautiful, however, this is not enough to keep me from ordering again from this site. A quick check on reviews and it seems I am not the only one to experience delays in an item being sent.

Everything we tried was delicious! The pizza, the kelp noodles and the coffee free latte with mushrooms. Yum!
This place is a cute little cafe with a tranquil calm vibe and lots of healthy foods and elixirs and products to take home. Love it!

Incredible raw food and super helpful. Made to order birthday cake that turned out wonderful! Great place to stop for lunch and a smoothie

Amazing quality herbal tonics and remedies, especially their mushroom herbal extracts. I've tried literally 5 different brands since first trying theirs and found nothing compares.

This place really is a rip off for their smoothie powders.which is a shame because they sell some good products

I visit this splendid cafe every time I am in Melbourne. The love and care in the nourishing food is such a rare treat. I would love to be able to sample everything on the menu.

If you like 100% raw vegan food that is also organic, you need to come here! They don't even serve normal vegan food, which is good!

DO NOT ORDER PRODUCTS ONLINE!
After placing my order online, I expected to receive my package at least within a week (shipping from Melbourne to Brisbane standard post takes 2 days). After not receiving my product or any shipping communication, I first emailed the shop owner, but did not hear back. I then called about 5 times but these always went straight to message bank. Left a message and a text message.
Nothing – no communication – no package.
I then had to do some stalking to track this person down (which mind you, customers should never have to do!) After visiting the Facebook page, I noticed the owner had taken the time to prepare and edit photos of food and post these on FB and Instagram.
It seems online customers are NOT priority. I did however, track down an alternative mobile number on FB and was able to speak to the elusive owner. She advised she had sent an email for shipping (no, this was not sent) and that my package was to be sent that afternoon EXPRESS post. I later received an automated email advising that my order ‘was ready’? Still no shipping advice?
Week 3- Still no package. Owner advised that it had been shipped and would send me the tracking number. I did not receive anything back about shipping advice
It’s Tuesday (3 weeks later) and my package finally turned up. Sent from the post office across the road from the shop! Just ridiculous.
Why have an online store if you struggle to communicate to people and don’t have procedures in place!
There is only one thing that it more valuable that any item sold in a business, and that’s customer service.
Never again will I engage with this business…

There was no interaction from staff until we figured out to go up to the counter to order and the food was no great.

Quite honestly the best raw food I have ever had. Also the biggest serving for the lowest price I have found other than the raw cafes in Bali. Could not recommend enough, those banana pancakes were insanely good.

Food is presented in a beautiful way, taste was not disappointed, take times to read the menu on the board. The price abit above average. Drink is better then food.
