Shiraaz Indian Nepalese Restaurant Ferntree Gully reviews
50Great food ordered take away rogan Josh and rice great value the 3 star was narrow entrance for takeaway
The food was perfect. The service was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect. The prices where fair. Great restaurant, 10/10
My go to for indian takeaway. The chicken vindaloo is excellent. BIR rating Madras/Jalfrezi. Great portion size.
It was a cold day and I was wanting Indian and I was like “ let’s go to Shiraz”, so we went and the dude was nice and it was good. The food is scrumdidlyumptious but I have one small problem. The door to get in is too hard to get in. Plz do something about it.
Yours sincerely T-dog?
You would be hard pressed to find a better Indian restaurant than Shiraaz. Been going there for years and the food has always been good. Highly recommended.
Food is always good here, great friendly service and not overpriced.
Authentic dishes and lots of delicious choices, even for vegans and of course non vegan.
Been going to this place for 15 years and travel a fair way away to get there.
Definitely recommend them.
There is only one restaurant that's food actually gives me euphoria and this is it. Apparently everyone already knows how wonderful this place is because when ever I bring it up they tell me they love it already. So I don't even know why I'm writing this as you're probably already on your way there and just looking up the address.
Great food and lovely staff.despite being a bit of a drive, keep coming back again and again! Always good
I’m from the UK so I’m always looking for a decent Indian place in Melbourne. This one hits the spot for me, it’s as close to the British equivalent you can get.
Great service as well, always delivered on time and always nicely packaged.
Thank you
The food is absolutely delicious and very cheap! What a great little find. We'll be back?
We a group of friends visited the Basinbridge temple and decided to have our dinner at Shiraz, after looking at these great reviews. Started with Tandoori chicken where the chicken was half cooked and very dry, then had coconut crab which was decent enough, then came the curries Mango chicken and chicken Tikka masala, not sure why would anyone prepare these curries with sugar in it, it was too sweet that we couldn't have it with Rotis and Naans. Another disappointment was the chicken biryani, looked like ready made fried rice. Overall it was out and out bad food and I even got sick the same night. Avoid this restaurant at any cost.
Amazing place really good food friendly staff well worth a visit, try a banquet there fantastic value
My favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne. The best Indian by quite some way.
The food tastes spot on every time and is so reasonably priced. The prawn malai is unreal and arguably the best naan in town.
Super clean also:)
Highly recommend!
Shiraz Indian Restaurant in Upper Ferntree Gully is one of the best Indian food offerings in the outer east. Have been coming here for years and I've always been delighted with the meals. Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Korma, Eggplant Beef and Beef do Piazza up there amongst my favorites. Many of the entrees are also great but I tend to order only the bare minimum so to keep enough room to fully enjoy the main course. Staff have always been friendly and quick with their service. Plenty of parking since they are in the vicinity of a shopping centre. A gem of the East.
My kids say it's the best butter chicken in town! My favourite is their aloo gobi. Great for Dine In, take out and quick home delivery too.
The flavour is great but most times it is a bit disappointing that the takeaway container is only 3/4 full.
Good ambience, attentive and pleasant service and probably the best Indian restaurant in the eastern suburbs.
Palak paneer -5/5
Peas pulao - 5/5
Pumpkin masala - 5/5
Tandoori mushroom -4/5
Bonda -3.5/5
Samosa -6/5
Unlike 90 percent of the restaurants where the samosa is overcooked (probably from being fried twice) there samosas felt fresh and the stuffing was simple -just the way a samosa should be.
This will be our go to restaurant whenever we are around the hills.
Best Indian food in the hills yummy as ever and never fails to impress when you have visitors and no plans for dinner. On line ordering is awesome heaps of choice and so reliable. Shiraaz is our go to
Best local Indian restaurant. We have eaten here twice over the last few years, but due to covid and lockdowns on and off, we have had take away at least a dozen times. Very good garlic naan, butter chicken and excellent tandoori lamb cutlets. Nice friendly staff too.
Have frequented this place for many years and considered it the best Indian food for miles. But our latest order was an epic fail. No spices coming through, just sweet flavour and the med hot dish had zero chilli. Maybe they had a bad night but maybe gone to the dogs.
