Shinhwa Restaurant is always crowded, so please make a reservation. You can easily book online. The staff are friendly and there is a sensor under the table, so it didn't take long to order even though the store was busy. I made good memories while eating here thank u

Great atmosphere and a cosy spot for the evening. However, we were pretty disappointed with with the udon noodles we ordered.

The beef version I had came with very cheap cuts of beef, cooked in a strange way that looked more like Bacon.

My partner had a tempura version and the shrimp was plastered in thick uncooked flour. Far too much and ruined the taste.

The Broth itself was also over salted in both.

I imagine their sushi and rice based dishes are better so would give them another go in the future but I can’t recommend those meals in particular.

A brilliant little restaurant.the food was so fresh and authentic with lots of vegan options.the staff were so so lovely and the atmosphere was soft and delicate. 10/10 recommend some of the best japanese i’ve ever had

If I could out 0 stars I would. Waited almost an hour and my main never came, this isn't authentic Japanese, typical these days.

Great menu, great atmosphere and great food! It's not kenzan so don't come here for the freshest, highest grade sashimi but everything else on the menu is fantastic. The eggplant is to die for, the croquettes are absurdly good and the curry is outstanding. Friendly staff (as long as you aren't there after 9: 30 pm) and the bar offers plenty of delicious libations.

Delicious food and great service! I had to collect my order due to a Menulog issue. After nearly an hour of waiting for the food the staff were fantastic and made sure the sushi was fresh. Will be back (in person - no more Menulog haha!).

Went here for dinner tonight. I really wanted to like it, like some of the other reviews.unfortunately it was not up to standard. We ordered chicken karage and they brought it out very quickly even before the drinks were served. When we had a bite it was barely warm. It seemed like it was someone else's order which didn't get served so they tried to give it to us. We returned it, so that wasn't a good start. We ordered the spider roll (soft shell crab) which was doused in bottle sweet bbq sauce. It was pretty much like bad quality junk food you get in Japan, but the price does not reflect that. I expected better quality. We also ordered okonomiyaki which was just layers cabbage, egg and thin pancake dripping with oil in between bites of scallops and seafood. I'm disappointed to write this review and to say I def will not be back.

First time visiting and had an awesome experience! Even though it was quite busy on the night I went, the service was incredible. Definitely will visit again very soon.

Amazing experience in shinwa izakaya! Waitresses are very friendly, and the taste are very traditional. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone, really good service and food.

Absolutely terrible experience, I give it 2 stars cause this was during lockdown, so maybe it was the times! I was over charged and they rectified right away, but the issue was the food. I ordered the chicken karagi and was oily and a bit stale. Also the kitchen crew were audibly spitting which is normally bad, but terrible during covid 19 times

Great food and thoughtful service! Ordered the sushi and sashimi don from menulog but they never picked up the food so it was sitting there at the restaurant going past 9pm. It’s curfew time so we were home locked without food and menulog offered no help.
Shinwa was so gorgeous they dropped off the food to us as they closed. They went out of the way to make sure we got fed! Thank you so much for doing this and being human. We will definitely come back when dine in is allowed! PS don’t order via menulog

So good, all of the food we had was beautiful. My wife lived in Japan for 5 years and this is her new favourite, she was saying that it was the closest tasting Japanese she has tasted for a long time. I can’t believe we have lived so close and haven’t tried them until now.

A dish that priced at $19.8 on the menu showed up in the bill as $21.8. Though I got the $2 back when I spotted the issue, I got no apology at all.
In terms of food, the grilled stuff (squid, yakitori etc) are not as hot as they should be. I dislike the lukewarm food.

Food was delicious. But the waitress are unfriendly and are all over the place. Asked for simple things and they forget the next second.

Amazing place. The food is the best, service is welcoming. They have a large selection of options to choose from. My favouriteis the shinwa Salad and the fresh Sushi.

We had a wonderful experience at Shinwa - the service were really good with attentive staff. The decor is beautiful, and clean. The menu is extensive and food is delicious. Can't fault it - I'll definitely be back for more delicious gyoza - the best vegetarian I've ever had - and Japanese pancakes, so great!

Great food a little bit pricey but worth it. Equally great atmosphere.my visit in particular had a training staff member so there was a little bit of confusion, but I completely get it.

I love a decent okonomiyaki but this one was disappointing. It was gluggy, had too much lettuce and noodles as its base—not a fan.
