Shingle Inn Fountain Gate

Went there with a friend for lunch today. They gave my friend the wrong meal and argued with her that, that was what she ordered. In hind side she ended up better off as she had ordered the same as me but didn’t get it and I have been vomiting all afternoon.

I believe there's new management here and it shows. It was a great place to do my meeting and I enjoyed the food and coffee. It was reasonably priced and the service was very kind.

There were just the two of us and the cafe wasn't busy. I received my meal first, I wanted to eat together with my sister but her meal was taking that long I needed to eat mine due to it getting cold. She eventually got hers a bit after I finished mine. Both meals were similar and not hard to do. Both our dishes weren't impressive at all. There were 4 staff on and not busy it made no sense

I came yesterday to the shingle inn fountain gate because my freind was suggested me. When we were enterd into the cafe one lady greeted us with lovely face and smile she seems like the manage she make us sit down, we rder 4 foods one is florentine, big breaky, vegeterian burger, and nourish bowl everything was looks amazing and it was very delicious as well. And the kitchen and the floor staff served us.all of them are very nice well mannered. I had exellent experience everything perfect food, coffee, and serivce 10/10. Definitely will suggest to my relatives and freinds.

They make breakfast very fast and coffee I think you can’t get any other place like this. I hope everyone go there enjoy the coffee and staff also good.

Worst food, me and my wife both had bad food poisoning sort of symptoms after eating the veggie burger. The place is a rip off, $19 for a burger and then you put your health at stake. I would like to talk to the owner and explain how bad was the food.

The lady who works behind the counter is very rude and has no customer service skills, my daughter spilled her drink so I asked for a napkin and cleaned it up to which she came over and told me the napkins are expensive and not to clean with them she will give me a cloth
Coffee was terrible, couldn’t even drink it and when I said it was terrible was told to add sugar to the coffee or order a half strength next time
Was also told they were too busy to do some items on the menu
Will never return and do not recommend

Service was great but I was absolutely shocked at what they call a tropical melt for $12 a slice of small toast bit of ham bit of pineapple I wouldn't recommend coming here to anyone at all

Shingle Inn is fantastic. The food never fails to satisfy me, whether I'm looking for a coffee on the run or a sit-down meal. Not to mention the superb service. The manager, Kumari, is incredibly polite and outstanding at her work. I was served and aided by several friendly staff members eager to ensure my experience at the cafe was perfect. Great place, good coffee, fast service. Really friendly staff who remember you each visit. Shingle Inn is a go to for very tasty food and the best coffee I've ever had.

To the lady who made my coffee ️ last week on Saturday thank you it was indeed the best coffee l have had in a long time and you do have a great smile

What a amazing restaurant I ordered nourish bowl and bacon sliders which was absolutely delicious and well presented and coffee was also tasty I will come again definitely

Staff at Shingle inn Fountain Gate are always welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious with an extensive menu. Would definitely recommend Shingle Inn as a place to meet and eat

I went to this place to have breakfast just after finishing my sudden shopping at Myer…
The breakfast was amazing and I really enjoyed the place and the food.
The staff were amazing and so friendly.

The main thing I really appreciate in this store was, I came to this place with newly bought sunglasses for one of my friends birthday and accidentally I’ve left it at the store when I leave. After around 1hr I realised that I left it at this cafe. So I rushed myself to go there and luckily the nice staff kept it very safely and I’ve got it finally.
I’m sure I won’t be that lucky if I left the sunny in another place.
So I was lucky enough to get it back.
So really appreciate the honesty and the responsibility of this cafe.

We used to love shingle inn, the food was great. Now it’s terrible! I would avoid this place now- the food is poor quality. The manager talks over you when you order and is rude.

So many things wrong with this place. Neither the food nor the service was good. I ordered a hot chocolate, a berry smoothie, an egg florentine and an opera slice. While taking the order, the lady at the counter asked if I would like to have icecream with my dessert (opera slice) and marshmallow with the hot chocolate and kept giving me judgemental looks when I said yes. I ordered for two; I don’t know what she was thinking but she was giving me this attitude like I’m ordering so many things. Anyway, both the dessert and the eggs florentine had small hair (like men’s hair) in it. We informed the same lady at the counter about it and she kept asking where it came from (as if we are supposed to know). The least she could do was say a simple sorry but she didn’t bother to. The berry smoothie smelt like pee. The overall experience was terrible.

Hi, I always come here with my friends for a lunch break because we working in narrewarren office I am happy with everything staff their service everything is perfect but booths are filthy and disgusting so from now am not coming back

A really lovely place to relax for a meal with some healthy options on the menu ranging from savory to sweet desserts with great table service from friendly staff and they know how to make a really good coffee too.
Seating: You can get away from the crowds in the comfy booths at the back of the cafe or sit out the front at the tables and watch the world go by.
