Laura D served me and was incredibly friendly and bubbly, was able to find the exact product I was looking for based on a photo on my phone, and made my overall experience at Shaver Shop The Glen very pleasant. I was happy to see there were 2 employees working at once, especially on a weekday, and they were both keeping themselves busy and making the store look immaculate. Will definitely return and do more shopping here!

Hi.
I purchased a trimmer from fountain gate shaver shop upon their advice at the time that it WAS suitable as a facial trimmer (maintain a 4mm stubble) unfortunately the unit head failed after 3 months.

On the 19/01/22 i went back to fountain gate shaver shop to have the unit repaired or replaced within the warranty period.
The fountin gate shaver shop manager insisted this unit was not designed to be used on facial hair, that i had blunted the blade (without proof) and refused to honor the warranty, he proceeded to say it was a cheaply made chinese piece of rubbish and i should buy a Wahl.

I refised to make an additional purchase as i loved the unit and simply wanted to arrange a repair. The manager then put gloves on, obtained a screwdriver and wanted to open the shaver for inspection which i thought was strange as they were not an authorised repair agent and i decided to go elsewhere.
I found the manager to be very arrogant and pretty aggressive to be honest

I then went to The Glen shaver shop where they agreed the unit had failed and gladly replaced it under warranty and assured me the unit is actually very good, and fit for purpose.

Half way thru a buzz cut, dropped my trusty Wahl clippers. Needed a replacement set straight away. 7.45pm, called to check that the store was open (it was). When I arrived, nothing but great service and great advice from Steve. Thanks heaps mate!

Nice price on quality blade replacements and a trimmer that does a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable service from the young sales operator (Matt or Mag?). Great store layout. Recommended!

I visited this store on 14/05 and had such a bad experience.
I went in there to exchange a gift I received (I had the gift receipt and it was within the 21 day period) but the lady was extremely rude and wouldn't let me exchange. She used "covid" as a excuse and stated it couldn't be done.
It was as if it was too hard for her to do. VERY dissatisfied with my experience and I will not be purchasing anything nor recommending this store to anyone again.

Expensive item died 6 weeks out of warranty, was told warranty is all that matters, computer wont accept a return, can't do anything, storewide 'policy' is 24 mths, blah blah blah, refused to acknowledge any rights under ACCC (in fact wouldnt even let me finish a sentence about it), told me to go and complain to ACCC then or to the manufacturer.happy to take your money but won't stand by the product they sell, nor do they understand their obligations under Australian Consumer Law. Staff need training, in both customer service and ACL. Couldn't be more contrast than with JB Hi-Fi who only minutes earlier had immediately offered to replace or refund an item 6 mths out of warranty that stopped working.

Friendly customer service, but was lacking knowledge in a specific section of clippers (pet). Understandable though, as the place is likely focused on shaving human hair instead of pets.

I dislike being misguided away from a clipper I know is right for me, in recommendation for a weaker model in stock. (Which won't work well for a full body clip)

In the end though, they understood that they may have misremembered some details. And was highly cooperative and helpful until the end, even checking if they could order products not in their usual lineup.

All in all, was a pleasant transaction.

Some excellent products here for all types of hair removal, ranging in price from low to high end. The salespeople were helpful and knowledgeable. Their website reviews helped me to decide which clippers to buy as a present.

Update: I'd refused a Shaver Shop bag, because I had my own with me, but I was distracted when making a second purchase (a present for a relative), and accidentally left the clippers and oil in the shop. After a few days of searching everywhere and wondering where they could possibly be, I finally called the store and they told me they had them there. So happy with the employees honesty I left them a little thank you gift. Thank you Shaver Shop for hiring honest employees!

Staff wasn't very helpful. Bad customer service. Went to chadstone instead and got everthing I needed there.
