Shaver Shop reviews
16 Had a terrific experience on Saturday with Glenn (I think). Very knowledgeable, down to earth and practical. Even advised me not to buy something but try a different method to see if that could save money.
Thank you for your help!
0 star! A rude customer service from a man who works there, i wanted to buy few things but when i saw how rude he is changed my mind! Go educate yourself of how to deal with customer! So rude.
Good prices, very quick delivery.
Much safer than using EBay or other dodgy online services claiming sellers to be based in Australia.
We came in on Sunday 8/01/23 and the man in store made our experience quick, easy and efficient. He provided a great experience.
Purchased a Wahl Ultra-Close T-Blade from the Shaver Shaver Shop which did not cut properly right from new. I asked for a refund or replacement and was denied one. Their reasoning was that the blades can get blunt. Which I agree with, but they shouldn't get blunt after one use.
Very happy with the quick problem solving and friendly service and Shaver Shop Greensborough. I needed a new foil and blade for my 11-year old razor bought overseas. My online search for this yielded nothing worldwide so I figured the parts I needed no longer exist and resigned myself to buying a new razor. In a quick visit to this bricks-and-mortar store the staff identified the part I needed and had it in stock right there. Problem solved in under 5 minutes!
I rarely like giving 1 star, but this is not a rant—it is a warning. I have been reasonably happy with the service at this store in the past, but recently the service was borderline rude. Not the slightest recognition that you are waiting for help, and forget about trying to exercise your Consumer Law Rights—the staff will point blank refuse any exchanges or returns, even if the product is useless at the task for which it was designed. Expect an argument as standard response. I tried to get advice on a beard trimmer, and was told that anything from China was rubbish, and to spend around $200 to get anything worthwhile. My budget was $90, for which I was sold a Wahl Groomsman Pro Sport, which rattled like an old mower, and couldn't cut the fluff of a baby's posterior. I'm buying online in future.
Absolute atrocious ‘service’ at the Greensborough store. You have better luck getting blood out of a stone than an exchange/refund from the argumentative staff who just want to avoid doing any work under the guise of ‘covid’ and ‘it was another shaver shop’ that sold me the item.
Younger salesperson w/ glasses was helpful when we checked out but the older salesperson was totally different, dealing w/ another customer (best of luck to him) and extremely racist and rude. A fair warning if you want people to continue supporting your business.
Today I went into the Greensborough Shaver Shop store to return a curler that was given to me on Mothers Day, would have returned it sooner but due to lockdown, have been unable to. The lady that served us, pulled the appliance out of the box, could see it had not been used and was happy to give us a refund. We, my partner and I explained to her that we would like to get 2 electric toothbrushes and pay the difference. She was talking to us about the brushes and we selected the 2 that we wanted and took them to the counter. When she was putting through the sale, he, the other salesperson informed us that no refund would be given as it had been used, i assured him that it had not been used. Things became quite heated in the store, the lady salesperson was shaking and informed us that the man salesperson is a pig to customers. She said that if we come back tom when he is not here, she will give us a refund but she did ask us to still purchase the 2 electric toothbrushes because she was concerned that he would fire her and maybe making a sale would prevent this from happening. We did purchase them as she was in quite a state when we left the shop. (crying and shaking). The man salesperson on the other hand, is an arrogant pig and should not b in customer service. We both run our own businesses and we would never dream of behaving the way that he did also belittling her infront of customers. Was really concerned for the females welfare upon leaving the shop and informed head office of this straight away. No names have been used but you know who you are, will never return to this store and one star is one too many.
Used to be a big shopper with this store in particular however my last few experiences have certainly been less than impressive. Staff were not enthusiastic or looked like they even wanted to be there, then again they seemed to be new staff members since i have never seen one of them before.
The young girl that used to manage the store a couple years ago certainly made shopping at shaver shop a much happier and welcome experience.
Lets advertise the price of a item at one price and lets have the checkout price double the price
staff dont care about customer they made that clear
Was served, if you can even say that, by a rather dismal employee who was condescending in their approach to an issue i had with a faulty product. I have no complaints against the company as I had purchased the item online, but my quarrel lies within this in-store experience.
For anyone that reads this, I suggest going to a different store or purchasing online.
My review is not in relation to the faulty product.
I have already contacted head office in regards to this matter.
Very kind and explained everything clearly, even the silly questions. I went with a client and they were very respectful, the staff had my client be part of the conversation without my prompting.
Staff horribly rude and unknowledgeable, as soon as I entered the store all questions and comments I made were dissed, I was spoken down on and the staff constantly smirked at anything I said. He said no need to know the specifics on a product such as what's more sensitive or close shaving and I should just buy whatever feels good in hand, and made fun of me for not just spending $400 blindly, I'll never buy from Shavershop again as I remember my father also complaining about their service a few years back.
Service was excellent even in a busy shop, nice product displays and pricing was still sharp instore against online competitors.
