The best Chinese food in box hill. Everything from the dumplings to the rice were amazing. Thankyou

Food was average. I ordered Xiao Long Bao and Pan Fried Dumplings to take away. The staff was quite rude and hustle me to order quickly so they can close for lunch at 2h30pm. With xiao long bao, I asked for soy sauce and chili oil, the old lady at the counter brought the vinegar out first and gave me a teaching lesson that I shouldn’t eat xiao long bao with and took the vinegar away

Beautiful food and lovely people. If you want ultra-modern and fashionable, this is not the place for you - it's authentic. A wonderful place to eat. We come from well outside Box Hill for this.

Seriously if you’ve tried other place and you think that’s already good dumplings, you’ve lived life to the fullest potential.

Nice food. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere, but is underrated and lacks customers.

They also close down on (if I recall) Tuesdays and Thursdays at times because of this

This is our staple go to for our Friday night family dinners. Has a great family feel about it and the food is fresh and delicious. Simple, quick and value for money!

As a small aside, the lady working at the front on the dumplings is lovely and the kids absolutely adore her and love watching the dumpling creation.

Excellent dumplings. Always love going back. Owner is very serious about covid safety which is a big plus.

Excellent service and accommodate to our dietary needs with no hassle. Very clean and pleasant environment. Definitely recommend the panfried dumplings and shanghai fried noodles.

Sorry, I’m not able to enjoy the taste there. We have been sitting for 45 minutes, follow up with the waiter twice and nothing was delivered to our table. Unfortunately, it’s a one star, for the service.

By the time I’m writing this comments, they are going to close soon, and I’m still waiting for my lunch in another store.

Noisy as I was in a market, being ignored by waiters and no food come. And finally found that our orders were missed out! They don't really feel sorry because they were busy.

Been eating here several times over the years and it's always consistently delicious and authentically shanghainese. Lovely mum and pop feel to the place.

It’s like a gem in the rough. The presentation, staff, restaurant vibe, all might be absent. You won’t get the expected “welcome welcome” and ushering treatment. But maybe that’s the “original” culture. Anyway benefit of the doubt given, the Xiao long bao and smoked chicken didn’t disappoint. Satisfactorily done. Tasted good and we kept adding more and more bao. Near my place. Added to my place-to-eat list.

Best dumplings ever! We love the wontons in chilli oil the most. The peanut sesame ball is also really nice for dessert.

Food ok. But they got my order wrong and wouldn't admit their mistake. Also rolled her eyes at me when I couldn't understand her accent fyi I am Asian too. Will not be coming back.

My husband and i went there on one Saturday for lunch, to be honest quite disappointed by their service and food. Waitress didn't bother to take us to the table, they were sitting behind the counter chatting, we had to find a table ourselves. Food weren't worth the price, small portion and not particularly tasty. We ordered the spicy sour soup, was just too peppery, way too much white pepper. The food presentation is not good, environment not great either, cold, had to keep my thick jacket on the whole time. Definitely won't go back.

Really nice place with super friendly staff. Dumplings we're delicious and very well priced. Will be back for sure!

Terrible Food. Terrible Service. I ordered Dan Dan Noodles and they gave me plain noodles with watery broth that had no taste. There was no mince pork with it. When I rang to find out if gave me the wrong take away order, they pretended to not speak English and kept saying "So, you wanna order Dan Dan Noodles? ".

My wife and two kids ate there tonight and it was brilliant. Absolute care and respect to the dishes, hand made sauces and what felt like authentic food. The staff where great and patiently explained a few options I hadn’t heard of before.

Ordered beef and fried rice and got minced meat beef with rice and peas.extra $1.50 surcharge on a card is a joke.will not be going back cheap plastic restaraunt.
