Shamrock Hotel

The bed was clean, brand new and so comfy. The meals in the pub was the best. Huge steak sandwich, so delicious and best value for money. The hotel manager, Bruce, fantastic host with great local knowledge, everyone was welcoming and very hospitable. Definitely coming back, really enjoyed my short stay there.

Camped in the RV stop across the tracks and called over for dinner Thursday night. The staff, Linda, we’re great and the steak I had and the lamb shanks my wife had were very tasty. Recommend the meals and the nice cold beers on tap.

Food is great! Staff are lovely and helpful - can sit in front bar and have a punt and a pot or the other side is the bistro and has lovely restaurant vibe -

The owner is just down right rude! If you hate your life don’t take it out on your patrons … we support local but will not be supporting you again!

Walked in with menus to the front bar, stood there for 5 + mins, ignored by 4 bar staff, asked if we were in the right place to order food, was told yes and that someone would come and take our order, said person wasn't told, stood for another 3 mins and left. Going down the road for a feed. Won't be back.

"I'll be back! ". Great tasty, delicious country size servings. A popular diner last Easter Sunday with locals and travellers. It would have been four stars if not for the $5.50 glass of post-mix coke.

Shammy Hotel in Rochester. I have stayed here a few times over the years (work around area) I love the Hotel and the ambience.
Staff are excellent food is great (if you can eat it all)
Accomodation is old school, a bed no t.v (which suits me) shared amenities.
Simon and kitchen staff all kudos (one day i will get thru meal)
Ian and bar staff, especially short blonde with bad attitude (kidding) keep up good work!

Waited a very long time for our meal, meal was over cooked and not very enjoyable, service could be better. A shame really because its a beautiful pub.

WOW WOW WOW! The food at this place is absolutely amazing. I had the Bass Stait Parmi and it was so thick and tender and hubby had the porterhouse which he said was cooked beautifully. Thoroughly recommend and would travel to come back

Really good meal. I had the porterhouse special and it was great, cooked as requested and tender. Served with a nice fresh salad which was dressed well.
My wife had the spring vegetable risotto, which was also very good.
Worth the trip.

A great pub in the heart if Rockchester, Victoria. Friendly staff, n fantastic foid at very reasonable prices. Will diffenitley go again

We went here and had the $16.00 meals everything came with chips and salad, the salad had so much dressing on it that the chips were swimming in it, the waitress said the chef doesn't cook vegetables, the rissoles tasted like a mixture of old meat and spam, will never go back and would not recommend

Friendly staff Beautiful old Pub and great quality meals at a affordable price (I live in Melbourne and the meals are on par with what you get there if not better than some Melbourne meals)

Parma was very good. Chips were nice. Thumbs up for the food. Service was good. Only small complaint was the coke was watered down a bit.

Absolutely fabulous, I just finished the best flathead I have ever finished with an incredible sticky date pudding BUT order the flatbread, I want more.

Service is good when you are ordering a drink but when you are ordering a meal.the service is POOR and Slow.

One of the tastiest, least expensive meals that I have enjoyed in 8 years of travel around Australia. The broccoli salad for $15 is 5 star, and my companion's meals were also top class. This is my 3rd visit and I look forward to many more.
