Shakahari Vegetarian Restaurant reviews
50It was a very surreal experience of having dinner at this place. Food had a very well balance of different flavours and colours. Customer service was amazing too
The lasagne is truly outstanding and is a must have choice. It is enough to convince you to become a vegetarian.
What a lovely restaurant, it felt like I was in a friend's home. The food was amazing and generously portioned. I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!
A wide range of delicious vegan options. We had the flat bread and dip and battered avocado to start. The avocado was scrumptious. The bread was good but the dip was a little bland. Mains were satay, laksa and curry. All were fabulous. The wine was reasonably priced - we had a prosecco. The service was friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience which we will definitely be repeating.
I have to say this is really delicious vegan meal I had in Melbourne. I love the satay dishes. Laksa is not like traditional Malaysian one too spicy for me. I would love to go back here again.
Awesome food, very tasty and well presented. Small menu though. Excellent service. Thank you Dennis for your wonderful service.
Not great. Needs an update inside and some music or atmosphere or something! Lol had a very small menu which I felt most of the food I could have had at home. Shame, as it has sooooo much potential!
I am usually a carnivore but the food here was really really good! Definitely coming back. Friendly wait staff too!
The food was delicious. It was a warm hearty meal not pretentious restaurant food. This is a simple quiet place to relax and enjoy a good meal.
The range of dishes and flavours on offer seemed like they were designed for those with a more subdued palate. Nothing stood out from the bunch of dishes we ordered. The papaya salad was underwhelming and didn’t have the typical tangy, spicy dressing (which can be achieved without fish sauce). The prices didn’t reflect the quality of the food. Also, $16 for a slice of raw cake?
It was extremely loud in the restaurant, they really need to invest in some acoustics.
We were seated by the fire on a wintery night, the meals were excellent and the service friendly.
As the name indicate its a fully vegetarian restaurant. Food was yummy & innovative. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing - we loved every single dish! This isn't just another fusion restaurant. The chef has clearly put a lot of thought into reimagining0 traditions flavours using the same ingredients but with a unique twist - really clever cooking! The ambience is humble yet serene, the staff are lovely and the service was super quick. Be sure to check this place out!:)
The staff were lovely and communicated well, there was a good wide selection of dishes. The flavours were really unique and inventive! There were great vegan options. The presentation of the entree was really nice. The table service was really good, perfect timing with bringing entre and mains.
I loved the bright red corridor as well!
The lack of carpet or curtains etc something to soften the room, really made everything echo. I think some soft furnishings would really go a long way ️ thank you for a lovely evening
Thanks guys, keep up the good work! I was amazed at the quality of veg Food.veg Food is both attractive and highly adaptable.veg Food impressed me on multiple levels.
The food, the environment, the staff were all lovely. Will definitely go there again if chances!
Absolutely gorgeous, delicious food, nice laidback atmosphere and decent wine. Service was casual, friendly not in your face. Reasonable prices too! Will definitely return
My wife and I had a weekday dinner here. We had the Green Papaya Salad, the Laksa Hebat and the Yuzu, Lime and Avocado "cheesecake. " All three were tasty, with the standout dish probably being the papaya salad which was delicious. Definitely an inspired place for a vegan dinner and a welcome break from the Italian restaurants in the area.
Such a lovely dining space with wonderful staff and such a great vegan menu. We dined on Easter Saturday with our family who are all vegans and everyone enjoyed the evening and loved the food so much! We started with the dumplings and beetroot dip and enjoyed a wonderful bio-dynamic Shiraz. Our table shared a selection of mains with additional plates of croquets and they were all super tasty and everyone loved the meals. Only one of the 7 of us had room for dessert and loved it. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back for more!
Two of us had reactions to gluten after eating here despite only eating gluten-free options. Liked the food but wouldnt return for this reason. We are assuming it was cross contamination.
