Shahi India Malvern reviews
33Very bad all items will be expired buy only when in emergency always check for date. Doesn’t deserve 1 star also. And the girl who works there needs attitude check
Best customer service, knowing that I am cooking Indian food as a beginner shop lady gave me a lot of ideas and asked me to taste their snacks before buying. Love to come back!
This place is ok.
I don’t understand why they don’t put the price tag on the display.
And there price keep changing every week.
Bought a pack of frozen Rohgni Naan and they were expired went back checked the others they were expired from months. Very disappointed and make sure to check the expiry of the product.
It's got almost everything Indian goods you may need for cooking and some health products, even some hot food to take away. And a lassie.
Shahi India is a great local Indian grocery. Their range of spices, ingredients, and cookware is expansive, although they often only stock larger quantities so if you are looking for a small quantity of something they may not have it. They also have excellent freshly made meals from the kitchen at the back of the shop. The staff are friendly and very helpful. This is easily my favourite Indian grocery shop outside of the outer suburbs.
Incredible variety of packed Indian food and snacks. And a live counter for authentic vada pav and paani puri.
Like this place especially for famous snacks from Gujarat like Jagdish bhakarwadi from Vadodara, Atul bakery items and Gopal khaman items from Surat
My go to Indian grocery store since I can always find what I need. They even make fresh Gujarati snacks like Dhokla. Would recommend checking them out:)
Very bad costumer service they don't list any product price and very expensive product extraordinary prices bad service
Untidy and overpriced shop. Unpleasant staff. Looks like they don't care about customers. They do stock different brands and items given the small sized shop and I would have bought more but staff attitude prevented me from doing so.
Be grateful that your business is open in times like these and people are willing to come in. You should try your best to hold on to customers.
Unwelcoming and Opportunist shop and try to play with the price when you are in need of something.
Friendly staff, got good variety of Indian groceries. Has quite a few Maharashtrian items as well
Not so clean always its a mess with no one on the counter unless u ask for 1 and wait 2 mins to 5 mins
Love this store.they have all the indian snacks and frozen parathas and teas as well.just wish they would serve ready made indian food too
Shahi India Malvern is my local Indian groceries store. I have been visiting this place for the past 2 years almost every week or more. The owners as well as the staff are very friendly. The place is small and during the peak hours they are quite busy and crowded.
What I love about this place is their small mini cafeteria at the back of the store. Here, they server yummy Indian food and chaat. The food is freshly made. I have seen customers place bulk orders for parties and other gatherings too.
In the past 2 years there have seen lot of upgrades and improvements. They stock up produces once every week. It is a lovely store, and you will find almost everything that you need here. But what I would highly recommend is if you happen to shop at this store do check the expiry of the products when you buy them as some time, they are remarkably close to the use by date. Also, their refund policy is no good. So be 100% sure before you buy anything.
All in all a good place to buy Indian Groceries.
Great collection of Indian snacks, spices & fresh bakery items. You can find almost everything that you need here. Some products are not been label no price tag and lots of stuff is being unorganised. Customer service we can say average.
There are many, many Indian grocery stores in Melbourne, and the differentiator is often the service and friendliness. Unfortunately Shahi, of late, has become an unwelcoming and very ordinary customer experience. Based on my and my family’s experience of late - our advice is that it may be time to explore alternative Indian stores, where a customer is treated respectfully by the store owner.
Customer service of store very bad, all staff show disrespct to Customer, always staff on video call with owner, no price for rice and some other items, they cooking food in behind with no gloves and no using right equipments, price very high as compare with other groceries store, selling One samosa for 4 dollar same samosa you get for $1 dollar from other groceries and food shops
Unorganized store. It doesn’t Looks like grocery store or a restaurant.dirty and smells food. They need to clean and make it look like a shopping store.
