7Nice place to have a bite to eat. Watch out for the snakes on warm days and leave the kangas alone.
Nice picnic area with plenty of space. Some picnic tables. There is an unfenced dam. Came here in summer but was still nice though not too much shade. I went on the Old Tom Mine walk which was quite nice though not very shady so a bit of a slog on a hot day. The walk sign says 2.5 hours return but it can easily be done in 1.5 hours.
I walked there from Notley car park. Good and easy to follow path/ track there and back. Shadbolt was quite nicely presented, clean environs.
Nice spot gir a night away with the young ones to get them used of camping, only 10-15 minutes from the CBD.
Well maintained and with toilets and picnic tables. Very quiet and some great walks. Short walk to Flagstaff Hill with nice views and wildlife.
Looks lovely in the winter time but I would imagine it very dry and dusty in the summer. Plenty of parking, picnic tables and bushwalking tracks.
Great rustic place kids loved it, but beware of shafts in the area. Don't let your children wander alone
