Went shopping there yesterday on 27th December and the customer service was pretty terrible. Granted, Boxing Day sales probably suck, but hey, you're still there to do a job. One of the workers bumped into me as she walked by, no acknowledgement. I asked another one for help in finding a concealer, she rummaged through the drawers for about 8 secs then aggressively said to me "we don't have it" and walked off. Apart from that, the staff just ignored me.

This review is for the Sephora security guard - not the store or staff as my experience in the store was great until the end when we encountered the big bully in the security outfit.
I came up to him once I was finished shopping and offered to show him my bags and receipts, to which he then decided to start rummaging through and accusing me of stealing items - which is ridiculous since none of the items I had purchased elsewhere are even stocked at Sephora.
I don’t think it’s legal to stick your hand in peoples bags and treat every paying customer like a criminal, think this security guard needs a reality check and get off his power trip.
I won’t be returning to this store until he’s gone, as I see him every time I come to chadstone. I don’t appreciate being profiled or treated like a thief, and I’m sure he’s done this to many others.

Lauren at Sephora was a gem. Her genuine warmth and expertise in perfumes made the whole shopping experience a pleasure. I'm grateful for her thoughtful guidance in helping me find the right fragrance.

Who can I contact to complain about security in this store? Last time I checked, it can be considered harassment when a security guard follows around a group of middle aged women around the store who are innocently shopping and asking them what they are doing? There were no reasonable grounds to suspect them as they were just like others in that store, on a busy Saturday. It was clearly based in race. How disrespectful.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT visit this store, I was served (if you can call it that) by a person with purple silver blond short hair in pigtails today and it was the most unfriendly service I have ever received. She didnt want to serve me and just mumbled through the whole interaction. I actually left feeling bad about myself because of how she treated me. I was hoping to buy myself something to spoil myself and the way she interacted and talked to me will ensure I NEVER visit this store again and I will NEVER EVER recommend this store to anybody. Do Better @Sephora.

Loved it. The range of products and the service they provide is marvellous. One of their staff member came to me herself and asked me if I need an assistance. She helped me to choose the foundation, lipstick and perfume. I went there just for foundation but came back with so many stuff. Such a lovely lady she was. I wish I could say thanks to her in my review but I didn't ask her name

The shop is always packed with so many people. It is very hard to get help from the beauty assistant as there are not many of them. I have to wait for long time even just to get the product I want not to mention for consultation. Not enjoyable shopping experience comparing with Mecca.

Bloody expensive. Couldn't spend too long here as this shop smells strongly of perfume and is extremely bright. Over sensitised so had to leave.

This afternoon I visited Sephora at Chadstone as I needed a top up of some of my standard beauty supplies.
I checked out some skincare products and was greeted by a really awesome Retail Assistant/Beauty Specialist, named Alison.
She spent a good chunk of her time helping explain a bunch of products and talking me through my current routine and what else I could consider.
She then suggested an in-store skin analysis which was super quick and insightful. She finished off her amazing customer service by getting some samples of products I'd really like to try.
Not once did I feel pressured into buying anything which I really appreciate. I can't stand Sales People who try to pressure me into buying things because they have a quota to meet.
Even though Alison advised I could speak to the skincare specialist, I really didn't need to because she knew what she was talking about.
Ill be back to buy the full product if the samples are suited to my skin, but if they aren't, ill be back regardless to buy something else.
I actually avoid stores where I feel pressured by sales staff but I'll come back and back again to the ones that have great customer service like what Alison provided today.

I had the best experience at this store. I was attended to almost straight way and the staff were very lovely. Allison in particular was super helpful and ensured that we walked out with everything we needed.

I went there on Black Friday. I understand the store was very busy so I didn’t ask for an assistance which is fine. But then when I ask one of the staff to take out the item because there were only samples on the display. They were so rude. I just said “can i please have this? ” And the staff just give me the item without responding anything with grumpy face. Very unprofessional.

I had visited the Sephora Cosmetics store at the chadstone shopping store with my family on the boxing day 26th Sunday 2021 at around 10: 00pm.

My wife was received by a very friendly staff member, She attended on us very well, my wife was very glad with her service. We understood she was not a permanent staff.
We were looking for a permanent staff whom we can meet every time we can come to the store to buy the products we need in future.

Meanwhile I was referred to another staff named Shifa. I introduced myself to her and we had a brief conversation. She was equally friendly, I enquired if she is a permanent staff. The interaction was very positive with both of them. I came back and joined my wife who was with the first staff member.

After this me and my son went outside and waited for my wife to finish her makeup trial with the friendly staff member, After around 20 mins, my wife made a frantic call to me saying that a manager Mr. Saaj approached her and complained to her that I had made the girls very uncomfortable by asking inappropriate questions.
Mr. Saaj also said that the girls felt so uncomfortable that they will no longer attend on my wife, so he will be attending on her instead. Me and my son came in to enquire what happened. We were bewildered to hear such a complaint from the manager Mr. Saaj.

I explained to Mr Saaj that my interaction with both of them was so positive, I never saw them show any signs of discomfort.
I tried to enquire further, Mr. Saaj said he will not reveal any details of what happened. We were left confused and embarrassed.

I was left wondering how come both the staff members who were so happy to serve me suddenly go and complain such a thing to the manager.

We are a family with values, and “We know to respect women”. And I will not do something so immoral to other women in the presence of my child and my wife? This is really Wierd to believe.
And why won’t the supervisor clarify the details on how I may have made them feel uncomfortable?

I am sure these days there are cameras to probe such baseless claims.

We don't like to leave a bad comment on any innocent people, it can be hurtful.
But we too felt very embarrassed and humiliated when such an unpleasant conversation happened loudly before the rest of the customers at this store.

Don’t ruin your day, save yourself and your family from the lunatics at work in this shop. Please avoid this store especially if you go shopping with your family members.

I will send an email to the customer care for an enquiry. I will post the updates if they call me for a clarification. Watch out for safety at this store.

Hire more staff or just close the store. Every staff at this store is impatient and unfriendly. I know they’re tired, but customers do not deserve to be treated this way. This is failed customer service. When I entered the shop, a staff literally shouted at me” scan the barcode! ” without even looked at me! I was the only customer at the till but I waited for 15 mins to be served! Two staffs walked by and they just told me they couldn’t use the cash registers! Compared to Sephora in the US and Canada the service is totally different here: (

The worst customer service ever. I came in around black friday days and I asked a girl her name was rianne or something like that for some help in finding a foundation best suited for me and my complexion and she just said that we dont have much for people like you and just waved me off and told me to go look in a section by the front. I have never been treated with such disrespect at Sephora, all workers are usually very kind and assisting but she was so rude and made me so uncomfortable. I will not be coming back to chadstone Sephora.

Sephora was one of my fav.place to shop.for makeup and cosmatic. Due to the restrictions I have started shopping online with sephora.but very disappointed.their items are sale online but they did not mention at all the products are about to expire. I bought few foundations and week later they expired.no refund no exchange.waist to money so I stop shopping with them.

I have never had a very good experience shopping in store. I struggle to get any assistance, and I usually just get pointed in some vague direction when I can find someone to help. Unfortunately some of my staple beauty buys are from Sephora so I still have to purchase from them, but that being said I have no complaints about the actual products. I have never been able to get someone on the phone when I’ve tried to call the store. Their website and app are easy to use and I have had only good experiences with online purchases. Would suggest to Sephora that perhaps their staff could do with some better customer service training.
