26 My fave authentic Korean Soup Restaurant has a new home
We ordered:
Chadol & mushroom hotpot $59
Ox bone soup $23
5pcs korean fried chicken wings $10
Boneless fried chicken $26
The signature here are their soup - my fave, the 36hr boiled ox bone soup. Add your own salt and pepper to the perfect taste and dip the meat in a mustard soy mix. It's even got noodles in it! Enough for 4 to share a small bowl each and comes with rice. We also tried their new hotpot menu. This one feeds 2-3 people with a mountain of beef brisket, mushrooms, tofu and vegetables - add s&p to your liking if a bit light. The fried chicken here is also a must try - so crispy and juicy, the honey garlic flavour is so tasty!
We love to see their menu expand to bring more authentic korean eats and will be back to try more!
Most dishes were delicious, except the pork bone soup, which was bland. Could not taste the pork, and the soup was not brothy at all. Seemed like it was just boiled water with chilli paste. Very different from other Korean pork broth soup.
We went in with a group of 11 and the service was great. They were very generous with us and we had a really lovely time. Food was really really good.
The taste and quality are much lower than the frozen soup sold at the supermarket.
It's too much of a waste to pay close to $30 for bulgogi and rice.
Not a restaurant I would visit again
This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Melbourne? The Korean chicken with honey garlic is awesome!
My go-to Korean restaurant, fried chicken is tasty, fresh, crunchy and you can't go wrong with any sauce of your choosing. Complementary sides are always a bonus and a nice hot soup brings a great balance to the meal.
Amazing food, very high quality dishes.love coming here for their korean soups and fried chicken! A hidden local gem.
Just Awesome!
Nothing is worse than famous and popular Korean restaurants in Korea
The best Korean restaurant in VIC
This is one of my favourite Korean spots.it is a small spot but I have been here probably 10 times and each time has been consistent and delicious. The Pork bulgogi has an amazing smoky char flavour that I haven't found anywhere else in Melbourne. The Ox bone soup is really heart especially on those cold days (it really hits the spot), just make sure you are consistently tasting and seasoning to your preference. Finally the friend chicken juicy and crispy, what else could you ask for it is seriously delicious. Highly recommend!
Strongly recommended. I am Korean. This restaurant is one of the best ones in Melbourne. More than anything else, the food is authentic and delicious. Thumbs up
Yummy! I love the kimchi! The soup was hearty. The portion / filling size matches the price. Add salt and pepper to the ox bone soup to bring out the bone flavour. The chicken was nice and crispy with the sauce.
Service was prompt and food was tasty. I would like to visit again to check consistency of dishes and also to try the other dishes on the menu.
Real homey and soul-warming food. Looks popular with the local Korean community.
Spicy bulgogi was a standout. You can tell a good cut of pork was used. Perfectly marinated and seasoned. Super tender with a good amount of char.
Chicken wings have a thin and crispy batter and are intensely succulent on the inside.
Ox bone soup was so nourishing with a very generous serve of brisket. It managed to be both rich and light at the same time. Was a good palate cleanser in between all the other flavoursome dishes.
The kimchi which came as part of the banchan was also a highlight.
The only downside is that there are literally no veg options but we aren’t complaining!
Really good food. Authentic.
Haejanggug very tasty. The bbq pork dish is also really good with a smokey flavour.
Only caveat it is small, so expect a wait or come early.
All the food I ordered was delicious. I am Korean so I have been to lots of Korean restaurants in Melbourne, this restaurant took the top melbourne Korean restaurant in in my list. You also buy takeaway kimchi (its not on the menu). Just ask to waitress! We had the ox bone, spicy beef soup and sweet spicy fried chicken. The soups were good and there was a good amount of meat! The chicken was nicely fried and sauced. It had a good crunch even though it was covered in sauce.
다 맛있어요. 특히 겉절이 김치가 너무 맛있었어요. 매뉴에는 없지만, 웨이트리스 에게 물어보면 침치만 따로 구매 가능해요. 500g 에 $14.5 이에요.

Food was nice. Service is prompt
Felt it was slightly pricey
The location of restaurant is near my house. They have four kinds of authentic Korean soup and fried chicken with different choices of sauces. Lovely space and welcome to have a try!
Quality of the food is good. We'd love to rate it higher but no vegetarian options at all, which is truly astonishing these days.
I love restaurants owned by locals, and this Korean restaurant is one of the best in the east. There's only a handful of these types of Korean restaurants, that specialise in 1-2 things and do it really well. Also, you can tell it's good if everyone around you is Korean
Food was great, I loved the ox tail soup and the price is very good too for what you get. One of the best KFC I've had in Melbourne, very fresh and crispy and the chicken is juicy, not dry.
It's quite a small restaurant, I would recommend either calling ahead on a weekend as it was quite busy.
Despite having to drive to Clayton for close to an hour, this is my go-to Korean restaurant in Melbourne. They have compromised on the spiciness but not the authenticity.
Their ox bone tail soup, pork bulgogi, and the boneless fried chicken are hands down best Korean dishes I’ve had in the south-east area and probably even in Victoria. They don’t have much in the menu for a reason and that’s because they’ve mastered those dishes
