Incredible deep tissue massage experience at Sensu Spa, Ye is a master of his craft and expertly navigated my tight muscles and old injuries. Ye was very thoughtful and an excellent communicator, I cannot recommend him highly enough!

My partner and I did the princess package with a hot stone massage upgrade as a couple. We booked well in advance and added in a seitai massage as well.

It was absolutely brilliant. It was so relaxing to receive the body scrub and a little thrilling to experience the wrap (I was sure I was going to slip off the bed when I turned around but Lisa had me covered).

The hot stone massage was a first and definitely absolutely wonderful.

We were given a small break with green tea served before heading back for the final part of the package which was the facial and the add on of a seitai which I had purchased.

I can confirm the seitai is NOT for the faint of heart and I was still feeling it a few days later. Ye however made it a pleasant experience in the moment - acknowledging and warning me up front that it wouldn't be a pleasant thing BUT it would help my muscles long term (which It has). He was genuinely delightful and funny throughout the process which helped calm me down.

I will also add a wonderful benefit was the fact that while we weren't in the EXACT same room, our rooms were connected by a sliding door. Giving us both the pleasure of being "together" but also being able to enjoy our massage experience alone as well.

I want to add in that I appreciate that Aya and the others for constant email communication when trying to book this experience. I appreciate them for taking calls, responding promptly to emails and giving proper clarification on all of my questions. Especially since my SO and I did this as a couple package when it's normally just for individuals. It was an amazing way to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and I thank you all so much for it. Especially since we came in on a Public Holiday. Thank you so so much for being so wonderful

From the moment I walked in the staff were extremely friendly. The entire experience was delightful and I left feeling very relaxed.

I 've tried to book an appointment for facial treatment around 3 weeks ago. I paid the booking up front. Unfortunately, the day of the appointment I felt ill so I've tried to rebook through their website. However, my account wasn't exist for some reason (i signed up through my phone but tried to sign in from my laptop if that makes sense) so I couldn't do it. After managing to find their contact details I sent an email but without a response. I called them as well but with no response either. After calling me for the appointment, I called them back explaining my situation and why I couldn't be there.

The receptionist was just outrageous. She told me that I needed to paid the missed appointment because I didn't give a notice 24 hours ago because it was my responsibility to know when I get ill and there was no other available appointment (re-schedule), no refund. I was shocked. After arguing for this statement (which totally discriminates people with special needs) she told me that she need to speak with the manager and she will call me back. She never did. I received only an email telling me that there is no refund but no charge for the rest of the appointment. When I replied back asking again for a re-schedule (because I saw/have screenshot with available dates even though the told me they haven't) there was no reply at all. There is no clear refund, cancellation or re-schedule appointment policy (which they should.)

This time I will raise the issue to the consumer affairs.

This is not the only saloon in Melbourne offering such services and I hope they will respect more the time and money of their costumers in the future.

One of the best Spa in Melbourne. The place is clean, very calm and relaxing, my therapist was professional, skilful and thoughtful. Good range of treatments and pricing as well.

After having massage with Ye, I could sleep well yesterday night, no waking up at 3-5am like usual. I also had a long, good sleep too ️

Hidden gem in the heart of city. Reasonable price for spa treatment with a touch of Japan ambience.
Staff are very polite. I had the head to toe package with my friend. After changing into a comfy vamboo slippers, we went upstairs to get change, get seated in a room with Japanese paper door for foot soaking, along with green tea and a mochi treat.
Then we move to hot stone massage and facial which is very relaxing.

Really nice, I’ve been to sensu Spa about twice now. The first time was in 2021 December 14th and it was amazing! I got the remedial massage from Keiko, she’s super sweet and nice, asked me how the pressure was and whether or not I was comfortable.

However, I went again with a group of friends on Jan 22nd 2022, and got the aromatherapy. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of who massaged me but it was under the name of either Millie, Renee, Rika, or Soo.

My massager unfortunately kept leaving the room either to get a warm towel or another product, I guess that’s fine but she did leave about 5-6 times in that 60 mins of my massage.
It was quite disturbing since the light kept shining in my eyes every 5-10 mins, quite disappointed with the server however there may be a reason for it.and I’m not sure…

Another thing id like to mention is (although I am not experienced with massages but) my friends and I seem to all have gotten different massages even though we all booked for aromatherapy - yes they were little things such as the head or arm massages at the end - WHICH is fine, as it’s not a huge deal just something minor.

As a result, I’m not entirely sure if I’d visit again, if I did it, would only be for keiko.

Not a hate speech just kinda disappointed.

Everyone that goes here comes back raving about this place. We are now absolute fans also. Very very knowledgeable staff that know what they are doing. We appreciate that. 100% recommend for those wanting to be pampered or muscles needing therapy.

I felt so looked after today. The staff are so kind and accomodating, and the whole experience was beyond what I expected. An hour in the floatation tank gave me the best sleep I’ve had in a longgggggg long time, if not ever. Definitely will be coming back.

Incredibly professional, relaxing indulging and reasonably priced. I have been twice now and had Millie for my massage both times. She is fantastic and I will ask for her next time I book.

As far as a bargain goes; this place is offers an array of great packages with fair pricing. The staff are polite and the aesthetic of the place is calming. A few things I have to minus stars for;
1. When receiving my treatment I could hear customers arriving and having conversations with staff in the entrance area, this was extremely annoying and took away from the experience (especially as I was receiving a soothing head message) I could also hear the shower room next door being used on and off, which was annoying but not as bad as the customers who were talking with staff, I wish the staff would have asked for the customers to keep their voices down.
2. The massage it’s self was not firm enough and the movements became repetitive, making for some slightly boring moments rather than relaxing.
3. The quality of the products they use is quite poor compared to some other salons. I had a facial as well as a full body message. The oil used on my body was not particularly hydrating as the next day I was dry again, also it smelt like cheap cooking oil. The face products were also of cheap skincare- as someone who has spent time working in the beauty industry I know a good product when it’s been applied. Also don’t expect them to do extractions or microdermabrasion, this is more a relaxation facial. My skin didn’t look any different after, I didn’t walk out with that fresh facial glow after, rather I felt a little oily.
Personally I prefer places that tie in good quality products with a good quality service.

I wouldn’t return, there’s much better spas out there.

Renee and the Sensu Spa team were amazing. A blissful experience from start to finish. We had the princess package which was a body scrub, wrap, massage, tea and facial. I’m still glowing. We will be back and back and back again. Just awesome. Bought a Xmas voucher for my Mum as soon as I finished! One small thing, and it’s just be being OCD, put a bowl on the floor of the massage table under the face hole with some flowers or essential oils to cover the power outlet. Legit not a big deal but would add to the experience! Loved every minute of it! Such a find!

Best spa experience ever! I enjoyed the Perfect Harmony package including head shiatsu massage, foot spa and massage and a full body shiatsu massage with E, and it was phenomenal! He was so good at making sure he addressed all my tension spots and with his “steel fingers” and a shared laugh! I will 100% book again and recommend to anyone! Thanks for such a fabulous experience!
