Senior Art Supplies reviews
31The staff are friendly and helpful. I’m new to painting and they helped me pick out my first water colour palette and brushes.
Mark and the team are always helpful. The store is a chock-full of high quality, well priced art materials from around the world. It's hard to walk out with only what you intended on buying
What a range.awesome.and the staff was very helpful.highly recommended to get your artist on.
Had a fabulous experience dealing with Senior Art Supplies. Their products are excellent quality, competitively priced and my mail order was incredibly well packaged. Highly recommend.
Great shop for art products, staff very knowledgeable and helpful.
Love shopping here
Ordered 2 reams of paper on 9 Feb 2023. Waited home all day 16 Feb for scheduled delivery. On 16 Feb received email saying delivery had been attempted and I would have to travel to the Malvern store to collect it myself. I replied saying neither my phone nor doorbell had rung that day. Received (several) emails vaguely indignant saying their "delivery guy" had been with them for 25 years. Subsequently received email confirming the "delivery guy" had been given the wrong phone number (and presumably address). Had to wait a further 5 days for delivery. Item arrived grubby with packaging torn off. Buyer beware.
Love the service here. They helped me find exactly what I needed including the best paint brush which my artist mother agreed was a great recommendation
Excellent place for your art supplies. Knowledgeable staff who are extremely helpful. Cater to your needs and experience. Good variety of quality products. Highly recommended.
I was looking to buy something that I saw on Kickstarter, and with a little bit of research I found that it was sold at Seniors Art Supplies. I looked up their location which wasn't that far from where I live. A quick call and they were bringing in for from another store. I went to pick it up and had a good look around to see what paint's they had. The staff were very knowledgeable of what they sell and very helpful. Their store is big and has a big selection of art products. Very impressive store and one which I will visit again when I need to buy paint. Stores like that require people who want to keep local businesses open and staying open in the future by going there to do their shopping. Just help your local stores stay open
Nothing short of great service and friendly attitude of staff. Always great to have a chat with fellow artist. Amazing!
Huge range of products and knowledgeable staff. Loses a star because it is on the expensive side.
Seniors is more an artistic experience than just a retail outlet. As an artist is difficult to leave such a welcoming and well stocked art space. All the best artistic equipment and supplies and friendly helpful staff. Don't expect to be in and out in a few minutes. I always visit when I have time to spare because the space is so beautiful and the supplies are so tempting. I've bought online for pick up when I've been in more of a hurry. Spend some time here and enjoy this beautiful store
Started by Bob Senior over thirty years ago, Senior Art Supplies now run four stores across Melbourne, including one in Degraves Street, as well as a comprehensive online store. I know of artists who have purchased art materials from Bob since the store first opened, including my mum. As regulars, they receive a 10% discount. The Malvern store's range is excellent and the store assistant was confident and knowledgeable about the different mediums and products.
This is the art equivalent of a really good book shop with shelves to the ceiling and full of wonderful feasts for the eyes?
This was my first time here and was amazed with the extensive range of products available. The staff were very helpful from the outset, despite being busy, and knew their stock well. I needed brushes and paints to restart an old skill, not done for more than 20 years, so I was feeling a little anxious. But it was all good.
Definitely recommend this art supplies store for it's huge variety of quality products, kind helpful service and good prices. Also car parking nearby was easy to find for a short amount of time.
I walked in wanting to buy a present for a colleague but knew nothing about art. One of the staff named Timothy was super patient and knowledgable, and walked through everything with me. He remained patient and kind as I chopped and changed ideas. He was very friendly and spent a lot of time helping me find what I needed, making great suggestions too.
Highly recommend for artists and mortals like me to visit! They are even dog friendly which is a massive bonus.
Professional service over many years. The staff go out of their way to ensure that the products and services offered are superb.
The staff were really helpful! Great guidance and took budget into consideration. The store was recommended to me and I can see why!
Hunted high an low for A2 paper blocks and finally found them here. Arrived beautifully and carefully wrapped and in good time (particularly in the midst of COVID). Thanks guys and hope you're back in action soon.
Like an aladdins cave of art supplies! Brands I’d never seen in person before, huge choice of brands and media, and helpful staff. Look forward to returning with a pocketful of cash:)
Got zero acknowledgment from the moment we walked in till the moment we left 10 mins later, even after making eye contact because we had questions. What’s more, we were the only ones in the store. Not an inviting or positive vibe, perhaps that’s reserved for other kinds of customers. Well, their loss.
