Sen Yai Thai Restaurant

What has happened here? I would have given 5 stars only a year or so ago but last few times I’ve eaten here it’s not been great…
Ordered a chicken pad satay tonight for dinner, it doesn’t taste fresh in the slightest and honestly now I am sitting here feeling unwell. 3/10 recommendation.

Ordered the prawn pad Thai was very bland 4 prawns egg and noodle. Ist timed ordered I don't think I will be going back.

Just ordered them off Uber eats, food is immaculate. So fresh and taste amazing! Will dine in soon.

Great tasting food, made quickly and great communication. Definitely hit the spot after a long day.

Been a long time customer. Ordered recently, sauce and curry has been watered down significantly and amount is less too. Disappointed with the changes if it’s due to inflation. Price raised and quality down i am not ordering again.

Green chicken curry and special fried rice with prawns is so delicious, buy takeaway regularly.

Stopped by this evening for a tom yum soup. Can say I have tried just about every tom yum soup anywhere nearby and this was easily one of the best. Typically they are only entree size, but I am very pleased that I was able to and did get a large.
For the price I paid, there were a decent amount of prawns and veggies that weren't from frozen (and actually belonged in the soup).
Glad I stopped by!

Food was DELICIOUS! They accidently made me a chicken curry instead of the beef I had ordered. They very quickly made me another meal and gave me additional rice and the chicken curry to apologise. Exceptional customer service! We will be back!

First time oredering from here. Thought id give it a go as the was a good amount of good reviews. Pretty disappointed I ordered pineapple fried rice. There was about 5 small pieces of pineapple it was filled with huge chunks of onion and very oily. The curry puffs lacked any curry just tasted like potato. Overall the food was pretty tasteless.

I did have 5 stars,
but unfortunately when it comes to using apps like Uber their service is not up to scratch

They forgot to give the driver an item, yet when I called they said I have to deal with uber. I said I want the missed item, sorry you have to deal with uber to reorder it? Even though they forgot it, As I still wanted it

Uber are saying I can have a refund via a text and still no response.

And to be honest I had to call them again as the food was unsatisfactory and they were not interested in helping. The meat was very tough and not chopped up like every other massaman curry I've ever had. They said I didn't "specify slow cooked". I've never been asked for options for massaman curry, it's always soft tender meat in a curry and in chunks not a long string of semi cut tough meat. (See picture attached). It tasted awful.

So I now have to order something from another restaurant as this is going into the bin.

Because of this poor dealing, I am no longer a loyal customer. As that isn't good service.

I tried lots of pad thai from Thai restaurants and yours one is the best! Even my partner likes it when he doesn’t really like pad thai. I ordered for myself and he ate half of mine. We will order from you again for sure!

I’ve only had the Pad Thai but I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve had…absolutely beautiful and very generous serve!

Food was ok just got take way was told 23 minutes for pick up got there 25 mins still waited another 20 min for meal.

Told it would be 20 minutes it was 45 or more

Very disappointed with our meal. Ordered 2 Tom yum soups $11.90 each for a small takeaway tub not a bowl that we were expecting. 1/2 cherry tomato, 3 pieces of mushroom, 4 prawns & the rest onion pieces (some still had the onion skin on them).
Chicken pad satay 3 pieces of chicken at $15.90.
Don’t waste your money.

My favourite Thai restaurant. Love their Pineapple Rice which I think is as close to ordering in Thailand itself.

Place keeps getting better and better. Somerville Thai was a cut above this place, but no more. Best Thai food in the area.

My pad thai tastes like vinegar. Not edible. Highly disappointing, the whole lot goes in the bin.

Love this place. Staff are lovely. Never disappointed. Slow cooked massaman is yummy. Quiet restaurant. Busy take away. Only negative is toilet is communal and about 50m away.

Treat your regular customers better, especially when they have supported you through a tough time.
