Selina St Kilda

The best hostel I’ve stayed in! The beds are comfy and you get a curtain for privacy and usb charger in the wall, the dorms are nice and spacious also. The whole place is so clean it’s impressive. The staff are lovely, warm and friendly. There’s so many areas to chill or hang out with other people.
The hostel put on event nightly such as trivia, musical bingo which are fun and a great way to meet people. The hostel is social without being a mad party hostel making it very liveable. Selina sets the standard for hostels so high and it’s the only one I want to stay in from now on. Thanks team!

My 12-week experience at Selina St. Kilda has been exceptional; I couldn’t be more satisfied. As a seasoned traveler I have come to realize that your environment is everything. It can make your experience amazing or turn it into a nightmare. Selina also realizes this, and they have done an incredible job ensuring that the environment there is great for everyone. All the staff are friendly, helpful and include everyone in any social event provided by the hostel. As a solo traveler this is important to me, and they made me feel like I was a part of the family from the very first day. This stood out to me the most during my stay. I can comfortably say I have made lifelong friends with the staff and other backpackers. I have had so much fun playing volleyball organized by Maria/Ronnie, musical bingo with Annie (DJ). Trivia night with Frasier (bartender), arts and crafts with Rachel. Yoga with several different amazing instructors, and just hanging out at the bar with Ronnie (bartender). As I mentioned before the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The receptionists (Nacho, Anna-Lissa, Thomas) and many others have assisted me with everything from other fun things to do outside of the hostel. To finding jobs and more permanent housing. Most notably Hugo (manager) Has gone above and beyond. He helped me with being a reference for my rental applications I submitted for apartments. He filled out a reference form and answered phone calls/ emails from real estate agents. I can't thank him enough for that. Not only did he do that for me, but I witnessed him and the staff relentlessly making sure that I and the other guests had everything they needed. I highly recommend staying at Selina St. Kilda. They know how to make your experience something to remember!
