Seddon Deadly Sins Cafe

Long time customer of Seddon Deadly Sins. My personal favourite coffee in Melbourne and the food is great

Really disappointed. I went back to order the chilli scrambled eggs because they were delicious last time. It came out with none of the toppings of mint, coriander, and shallots etc. I asked the waitress about this and she said yes you’re right and asked would i like then. I said yes. She brought out a stalk of coriander and a bowl of shallots. I said this is really disappointing to which she replied our normal chef is out so we have a replacement. I get it, Covid has knocked all hospitality around. She then proceeded to clean a table Infront of me and then another waitress came across and must have asked what i said and she proceeded to complain about me, right in front of me to her the other waitress saying I am so annoying etc…I won’t be going back. I can absolutely understand Covid and chefs off, Covid impacts etc…. What I can’t understand is the need to start talking poorly of me, a paying customer for asking for the meal I ordered and paid for.

Average food - the sourdough was just a slice of normal white toast, small portions, baked beans were stodgy, not worth the $18 charged. Average service aswell. Nothing exciting for the price we paid.

Great food, great coffee, great bunch of people. Quick service - even when it's packed. My favourite cafe in Seddon.

Staff were amazing, really accommodating with my baby too. Gorgeous food and generous portions!

The waitress this morning was so friendly I didn't have the heart to ask her where the rest of my breakfast was when my she brought out my plate of food! The Florentine Eggs was very small portioned for what I paid ($5.50 add on of Salmon and hardly got any). But great work to the waitress, exceptional customer service!:)

We’ve been coming here for years and can never fault this place. The menu has many options and dishes are always yummy. Definitely recommend and is our local favourite.

Good vibe and the place has a lovely little garden out back thats typical of the grungy feel you might find somewhere in Brunswick.
The food was disappointingly average though and, honestly, no better than loveless food I could've thrown together on a Sunday morning will little sleep and a hangover. Plain spinach with a sausage and a couple of dry pieces of chicken thrown on top. So I did feel a little robbed of my coin in the end.
The almond chai was just warm milk.
The service was decent though (hence some stars) and the guys took the chai away and returned with more warm milk.
Other peoples dishes did look nice though so perhaps it was just my food.
But I wouldn't recommend and unlikely to return.

Decently priced drinks which are strong and the waiters constantly refill your water glass, felt like a rich person

SO wonderful to be back in Sins courtyard for dining in after 6th lockdown! Chris and the Sins gang were my unfailing support throughout the endless lockdowns, ever cheerful, always good coffee and food options, and they have now immediately pivoted back to good full dine-in/takeaway service. I am back to working my way through all the tasty things that are better eaten immediately, not takeaway, saturday was eggs florentine and bacon, i think tomorrow is the pancakes! So now to shift from daily or every other day drop by for coffee/takeaway/escape work desk, back to a few times a week escape my work desk and dine in to enjoy the amazing Sins food, friendly smiles, great coffee, and my favorite employee, Benji the the ficus benjimina tree in the back courtyard!

Nice food. A shame that the bloke doing the seat/greet was rude and condescending in relation to me having issues with the vax certificate linked to services vic app.spoiled my experience

Amazing breakfast menu. Coffee is one of the best you'll have in Melbourne. Great cosy decor! Will definitely be back again
Update: 2 years and many, many, maaany visits later and this place still never fails to satisfy. Keep it up guys!

After waiting 40+ minutes because I didn’t want to seem pushy, I went to see the person who served me. They didn’t know I hadn’t got my food yet and when I asked how much longer it would be they said “oh I don’t think it made it to the kitchen”. The lack of accountability was upsetting and I didn’t even get a apology of any kind. I just paid for my coffee and left, coffee was good, I guess that’s the one star?

Apart from an amazing dine in menu, Seddon Deadly Sins has an incredible array of take home meals. I'm not sure if these were developed as a result of Covid but they are a winner. We bought the vegetarian lasagne, the Shepherd's pie and the moussaka. All were so tasty and heated up really well. Just delicious!

Besides the great food and coffee, you can tell that this Cafe has made a community and a family, from the local customers and friendly staff from its incredible service. It's always an incredible atmosphere whenever I visit and I will surely be coming back with the pup! Well done Seddon Deadly Sins on creating something so incredible

Disappointing. I revently went there for my birthday. You have to download a menu from the internet before you can order. Whatever happened to having a menu on the table?
I had the Greed breakfast, which was supposed to have "Braised Field and Swiss Brown Mushrooms", but the dish came out with a few of the smallest mushrooms you'd ever see. The annoying waiter asked me how it was and I said "that the 2 little mushrooms were very tasty".
My wife's chicken burger had some overcooked chicken in it and was equally disappointing.
There are a lot of cafès in Victoria Street. Suggest you try them first.

Had an absolutely delightful breakfast here yesterday morning. The staff, the service, the food, the location and the venue are all so wonderful. The food didn’t take long to get to us considering how busy it was and It was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted amazing.
I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful food and lovely staff. Took my mum's allergies very seriously and were friendly whilst doing so. That spot by the fire is brilliant in winter.
