Fantastic customer service, have sold and purchased many school items here. Always been impressed with both the variety and quality of items available. I also enjoy donating my old Textbooks that are not in circulation to help disadvantaged families. Great job!

I and my daughter went to Geelong Star St, Second-hand uniform to get my kids school books. I gave the lists to the shop keeper (lady). She got me the books, I asked her "if she accepted health care card ". She said yes to me I asked her how much would i need to pay, she said nothing. She put the books aside for me.
I went to have a look at the uniform when I went at the counter she asked me is that all what I needed, I said yes. The books was on the top of the counter bench. At first the maths book was in a really good condition and the code was not been used but their was a different maths book on the top a very old one with ripped off. I asked her is that the same book she said yes.
I told her that the first book was in a good condition. She said because I'm getting those books on concession card so she change it to a different one, I asked her if the code has been activated she said yes. I told her my daughter won't be able to use this book.
She said I can't give you all the fund in a very loud way in front of our customers. She said that twice.
And told me if I went the good condition maths book I've to pay $20.
I said I'm happy to pay the $20.
She took the books to put it on the system.
She was talking nicely to other customers because they were paying by there cards.
But she was very bad to me, I told her I was hurt by the way she talk to me saying that she isn't going to give me all the fund and told her I've asked you to give me all the fund. Then I told her I will pay the full price of the books not on concession.
She took the books from.
A guy came I told him what happened I feel really, why she treated me bad because I'm using concession card to get the books or because I'm a Muslim and I'm wearing hijab.
He told me " my wife doesn't talk like that and told me to get out from the shop and never come back again".
I was in shock my daughter start crying in the car we were both shaking.

Honestly if I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible owners. First time I bought a biology textbook, but didn't get the subject, so I went back to return it. They were super friendly at the time, and I enjoyed my experience purchasing books there.

A few days ago, I went to go buy my maths, history and english textbooks, and then went home to realise that my year level doesn't study history for a compulsory subject next year, unlike this year. I went in again THE NEXT DAY, and asked politely for a refund, because what was I going to do with a book I do not need? The extremely rude and idiotic lady, said to me: "I can't give you a refund, because you've done this many times already, you are photocopying the books and then coming in to return them. "

Firstly, I bought the book THE DAY BEFORE, I do not think it is possible to photocopy all 350 pages of a textbook overnight. Secondly, their return policy never stated that each person is entitled to only one refund. Their refund policy goes something like: "Refunds can be made via cheque or store credits. " Did they state that I can only make one return? No. If you're really that salty about people making a few genuine mistakes and coming in to refund, maybe you should add "no more than one refund per person" into your policy. Had that been in your policy, old lady, I would have happily left without a refund. Finally, each time I go, I buy at least three books. I come back, only returning one book. You really think that IF I had the mindset of a photocopier/stealer, I would only photocopy one, return it, and then keep the rest? Even those types of people are smarter than you.

You'd think that being surrounded by all those textbooks that have enlightened duxes and 99.95 ATAR score holders, that you would be a lot smarter and wiser than the majority of people. Surprisingly, no. The owners, especially the mean old hag, seem to be nothing but cold hearted, second-guessing, money hungry pigs. Cheers to the extremely elderly man who abides to their policy and seems to have some traits that resemble manners. You're doing great. Miles ahead of your grandmother, I think?
