Seaworks Maritime Precinct reviews
16 The space is great with different areas for dancing different sounds.
Enjoyed the Jamaican Music Festival.
Very large collection of Maritime articles.
First Fleet models all 11 ships showing.
Could spend hours taking in all the information. History buffs would love visiting. And so near Williamstown train station. Just down Ann St 5 minutes walk.
The lads looking after this museum
Are always willing to help answer any questions.
Worth a visit.
Pirates Tavern is a NOT to be missed local LIVE MUSIC institution (secret!). Do yourself a favour and check it out. Live music usually on friday evenings and on sundays. Wendy (tavern manager) and Maurice (president Wlliamstown Maritime Association) will both welcome you to their secret spot. Entry off Anne street last gate to the left. A fun venue recomended!
Went there to film the Jamaican Music and Food Feastival. Had such a great time. The area is huge and make it easy to put on an event.
There are places indoors and out doors, places for stages and even a pub on location.
The view to the city is also excellent. Highly recommend.
Great space for small to med events, location excellent to make the most of your trip, fantastic outlook
A great space in an interesting location - part industrial complex, part event space, all with a beautiful view of the Melbourne skyline.
Great place for early colonial Victorian history, plus some. There's more to Victorian and Australian history than many are aware of! This is one of the best places to start with the discovery of Victoria's history and Williamstown is the place to start from.
Overall the experience was good. We caught a film on a Saturday night which started an hour later than the advertised time, understandably they had to wait for sundown but perhaps this needs to be emphasized at booking.
We sat on these gorgeous Cape Cod chairs, which while they looked nice can get uncomfortable on your behind after about an hour.
Perk was unlike other cinemas, you can bring food in, saw other people bring pizza which was a fantastic idea. There is also a bar which is relatively priced.
Melbourne's weather is unpredictable so make sure to bring blankets and extra cushions for the backside.
The website says free parking on Ann Street but also saw people parking on-site.
The Seaworks Precinct is alive again! The Pirates Tavern is a great place to get a bottle of rum and plunder some beer the outdoor cinema is currently running and looks great. The museum is full of fabulous artifacts and knowledgeable volunteers. The Creative Tech Hub is due to reopen next week after a long lockdown break. So much to do and see and experience!
For anyone who wishes " to go down to the sea:
Great museum with superb model ships and well trained and passionate guides. Children welcome also. The whole Williamstown precinct worth a drive or ferry ride.
Great fish and chips on the pier too!
Seaworks is a fantastic precinct! Head down and check out the museum and The Creative Tech Hub and grab a few cold ones at The Pirates Tavern
I was here for a concert (Bushfire Relief), it was clear extensive consideration was done prior to the event in terms of the arrangement of the stage and sound. There was no interference from the wind at all (which is to be commended considering the location next to the bay). The buildings themselves were renovated to ensure they are safe and comply with standards while also maintaining the integrity of the architecture and maritime feel!
This place is amazing. I often goto the bay but have never seen this place. When I went there I had a guide who gave me a tour and explained the history of Williamstown. I loved it as i have never experienced anything of a thought.
I now know more about my history all thanks to the guys in this centre.
I highly recommend this place.
These people work on donations so be a chum and give them a good tip as they deserve it.

Really cool spot. Old world kinda vibe. Not all that much to do other than just look at stuff.
But Williamstown has some pretty good cafes/bars/restaurants and other attractions.
