Highly recommend Schots. Customer Service has been exceptional. I explained to Nathan that I had an issue with my new Webber that the rod supporting the hinge had snapped in half. Not great timing as we were going to use the Webber for the grand final. Nathan has gone out of his way to make it happen he has arranged for the service Tec to come out on a Public holiday and replace it.
Much appreciated.

2023 Review - After I reviewed this store last year, poorly when they messed up an order (see below) my most recent experience has not been good either.

Ordered a cast iron bath, they delivered it to our home in country Victoria. Upon closer inspection it was found to have some damage to it. They promptly agreed to replace it (I give them good marks for that) but then we had to constantly follow them up. Various staff including the manager of the Geelong store kept telling me they would get back to me but days and weeks went past and we would have to call them again.

They had a LOT of trouble figuring out how they were going to swap the baths over and eventually decided to offer us a discount as it all got too hard for them. They also came to the conclusion that the original bath must have been damaged in transit. I am not so sure about that but okay. After consideration, we accepted the discount. We had to chase that credit too. We requested that the discount be applied to the shipping charge too which made sense to us if it was damaged in transit. Once again they said they would get back to us. Months have past now and they never have. It is this aspect of their service that is the most frustrating. Don't say you will get back to a customer and then don't do so please!

2022 Review - Really messed up my order big time. Ordered some products in Geelong store in August and specially asked them to send to my residential address (not my billing address). During a phone call a week later, I confirmed this with them. I was assured this would be no problem.

Sure enough, the goods were sent to my billing address and sat there. I tried to get them picked up and sent to the address I asked for when ordering but despite many e-mail to Schots this never happened. Eventually, two months later, I had to pick them up at the post office which is 4.5 hours away from my residential address.

Very frustrating and pretty poor customer service for something so fundamental. Be careful if you find yourself in a similar situation with them. Their systems appear very, very clunky.

The furniture and homewares are very nice but over priced compared to other stores. Staff are not as attentive as I would expect. You have to go looking for them if you need assistance.

I've been passing by here for years and never stopped in. Well, I know why. Light on regard to range and stock. A big space with lots spread out. Not overly cheap either. If you are looking to renovate a period home give it a try.

Had a great time in Schots at geelong. They send me an email with a clearance taken place. I'm not sure how long. But hubby and I picked some good items. It s not for everyone one. But take a look.you may be interested in getting into the moment. I believe that this store has a very strong focus on how to make a successful business plan. Selective research towards customer service and what they need.

Terrible customer service. Will never be back again. Never been treated so poorly by a store manager in my life (Sarah). Manners are free, I strongly suggest using them.

Appears to be a severe lack of accountability, always seems to be an excuse in reviews viewed. Never at fault it would seem.

First time buyer online from Schots. Ordered a gorgeous talara console table some months ago and had it delivered when I was ready which was this week. Delivery (contractors) were really good and made contact as Schots said they would. Unfortunately when it was opened from crate it was damaged. I was truly disappointed and thought I was going to go through the usual palaver to get something exchanged - BUT not so! Nathan contacted me immediately they opened the next day and told me they would arrange a replacement and delivery still this week! So today my second piece got delivered, again excellent contractors. It matches the description online, Schots stand by their service, delivery and return promises and I'm back to being DELIGHTED because it looks so good in our home.

Spent a fair bit of money here during our recent reno. Visited all 3 stores. Moorabbin store has the most arrogant staff I have come across. I stood at the counter waiting for assistance whilst a man was price marking some items. Didn't acknowledge I was there. A female worker came across and had a chat with him and again, no acknowledgement. I walked out.
The staff at Geelong a bubbly and helpful, which was an improvement from the experience at Moorabbin. Hubby also went there to re- purchase some doors we had purchased which were water logged or oozing something. We didn't notice until they were painted and the hardware on. We ended up opting for the timber as apposed to the MDF version- much better but we were still out of pocket. The lady told hubby about their Trade account- which would have been great to know at the beginning as we could have saved some money and spent it elsewhere ;)
Clifton Hill customer service was ok. I ordered all our tapware and other bits and pieces from here. 2 items were in stock but the others had 2 week wait which is annoying, as they don't hold stock on a lot of things. Overall, great range but won't return to Moorabbin or recommend that particular store.

It's a great place if you are refurbishing or renovating period houses, although this sterile 'grey concrete everything' trend throughout the country is depressing, unimaginitive and frankly dangerous underfoot. Bunnings bland. I feel the colour choices in everything could be drastically livened up a bit. Period homes don't need to be boring. I hope to see more warmth and life in the decor offerings.

A huge thank you to the Geelong Store Manager Sarah who helped me track down a light that was discontinued and arranged for it to be transferred to the Melbourne store which was closer to me than Geelong. Great service from Sarah

Traveled from Ballarat to Schots Geelong to check out a lounge viewed online. Amazing store with a wonderful range of products and friendly service. Well worth the journey and will definitely return to seek out other homewares.

We drove almost 2 hours from SE Melbourne to the Geelong store to pick up the last of 2 gorgeous pendant lights which were left at this store. We were assisted by two ladies (I think one of them was Sarah). They went out of their way to check that the item was available, before helping us pack and collect the item. Amazing service, friendly people, and an amazing store with an endless plethora of top-end hard to find products all in one warehouse.

I have nothing but praise for the service I have just received from Schots Home Emporium. Living 3000km from the store, I had no previous experience with the store and I was a bit nervous about ordering the product online. However, I bit the bullet and ordered. My order was processed and freighted quickly and I received the product within the week. Unfortunately, when the basin arrived, I noticed that it had been damaged in transit and reported the problem at 6pm a night. By 10am the next day I was advised that a new basin was being despatched marked fragile. Now that is good old fashioned service at its best. Thank you Schots and Nathan (Support member) for your wonderful prompt and genuine service. I will unreservedly shop with Schots Home Emporium again.

We had great service from Steve L, who went out of his way to help. We purchased some chandeliers that had to be assembled. There were a few problems, including the fact that a vital hole had not been drilled during manufacture in China. Steve guided us through our issues, and the very next day after we found out about the missing hole, he travelled to the other side of Geelong and fixed it himself.
Other members of staff were also very helpful.

Phoned the store to order a fire pit for mothers day, we we're guaranteed delivery on the preceding Friday but it didn't arrive until the following week. Opened the box to discover that the wrong item had been sent. I returned the incorrect item to the store and the staff initially refused to exchange the items even though we had all the paperwork. We were told that we would have to wait for an undisclosed amount of time while they investigated what had gone wrong with their delivery service. When I pointed out that I had paid for an item and refused to leave without it, staff started admonishing me, claiming I was being impractical and that I must accept their decision. I will never recommend anyone to shop there. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

In regards to your response; under which consumer law can you refuse to exchange an incorrect item? So why should I have to wait for you to "investigate" what went wrong on your end with the delivery? Secondly, don't pretend that refunding the delivery fee was some kind of compensation. I had to pick up the item from you, therefore you are obligated to refund the delivery fee.

Poor customer service. Poor delivery service.

I was charged extra for delivery, a heavy item that I had to lift and carry myself. Schots are currently using the delivery company Singh Transport that is not a registered business and do not have any direct line of contact. Very dodgy.

We purchased a heavy outdoor table and were told that there is an extra cost, due to the weight they needed and extra removalist to carry the heavy table.which we paid.
But when the delivery arrived there was only 2 removalists, no way only the 2 guys could carry this table. So they asked me to assist them to carry it. I called Schots to rectify the extra cost for delivery because only 2 guys arrived and I had to help them do the work that I paid extra for. The manager Steven said there is nothing that they can do because that's the fee he was charged. So I tried to call the transport company directly, it come to light that the company Singh Transport that Schots use is not a registered business and do not have any direct line of contact.

Love the ambiance of this light, large warehouse - style of store. Huge expanse of area to browse and walk through lots and lots of different items for any renovation project. Unusual items as well as very particular pieces that complete a bathroom, bedroom or any room for that matter. Specialists when it comes to fireplaces, pressed metal ceilings, door handles and hard to find light switches and mounts. Massive range of light fittings and some lovely furniture pieces. Always a must visit when in Geelong!
