Amazing quality! The batter on the fish was super crunchy and the fish was tender and juicy. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The prawns had so much flavour we were in heaven. The chips were crunchy and well seasoned. Highly recommend this place!

I will be back for sure!

Best metro Melbourne fish and potato cake!
Lovely crunchy batter, fresh fish.
More expensive but worth a treat.

After seeing review on the game we’ve visited this fish and chip shop and can say it really is great! Fish was amazing quality with the battered fish being light and melt in your mouth… I know right, is that actually possible? Yes it is! Great experience!

Fantastic fish & chip shop.
Pricey, but well cooked & prepared food.
Fish was cooked to perfection & a wedge of lemon provided.
Complimentary tomatoe sauce is provided for people eating in.
A limited menu, but don't let that dissuade you from visiting if you're in the area.
Would visit again without a doubt.

Went specifically to try the Moreton Bay Bug roll. It was quite small and the meat was not tender as I had expected it to be. It is served cold as well.

The potato cakes had a wonderful crunchy coating though with a good chunk of potato.

We drive 45 minutes to come here as we know what we’re going to get. Always wonderful & generous service and the food never disappoints.
The price is not as cheap as your local fish n chip shop but the quality is far better so it’s easily justifiable.
The burgers are also super delicious!

Amazing place, Friendly staff and quick service.

The variety of drinks were out of this world and don’t get me started on the food.
It was not only instagram worthy but it was worth the price.

The batter on the fish was fresh and crunchy but the inside was still soft and tender.
Now I had never tried a fish burger before and I didn’t think I would ever but now that I have I think it’s my new favourite.

What a gem this place is. Crumbed fish and chips were amazing. Tartare is next level. Fillet o fish was also delicious.

Wow. We were blown away. Excellent fish and chips, each item was cooked perfectly. I joke to my kids about my food being 'restaurant quality', but Scalable is literally restaurant quality fish and chips. My picky kids demolished their kids packs, and 1/2 each of a wonderfully light grilled gummy. They had some of my salt n pepper calamari too. I had the bug slider and it was to die for, my wife had the hot burger and was blown away by the quality and care (and the heat lol). The shop was clean, staff warm and inviting. This is our new regular weekly spot. Love it.

Great yummy local fish and chips shop serving hot and fresh battered fish & crispy golden chips.i wish they gave sauce options or buy it separately that would be awesome. Definitely recommended!

Been very eager to try the potato cakes but unfortunately was disappointed. Yes they are crunchy but was too much batter for the potato, making it too oily. Chips were better, crunchy & lighter. Wouldn't return for the potato cakes. Barramundi was OK not worth $15.

One of the best fish burgers I've had (fillet oh) softest bun with fresh tartar sauce perfectly going well with cheese. Amazing work!

Possibly one of, if not the best fish burger I’ve ever had. Great potato cakes and delicious bug roll. Owner is pretty cute too.

Came here to have the hyped potato cakes, very crispy light batter but not much flavour. I’ve had better. Calamari batter was + heavy and there was more batter than calamari, otherwise flavour was good. Tatar’s sauce and chips were very good though

MY FAV PEOPLE!

Always welcomed with a smile and neber diss appointed. Potato cakes are ridiculous and ALWAYS ask for extra salt (which they make themselves) 10/10

The biggest crunchiest potato cake - soft potato is the centre - so good. Crisp battered fish and a delicious bug roll. Guilty treat on a Sunday. Lovely passionate staff. Generous and great fish and chips. We wouldn’t normally stray from home on a Sunday night but worth it.

Amazing food.the potato cakes is amazing crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.definitely a must try. The fish are so fresh that it melts in your mouth. Definitely worth driving 30 km to get it. I did an online order arrived 30 mins early and they were so accomodating to prepare my order immediately. And the owner / manager even ran out to my car as I was driving off - to give me my missed order. Thumbs up for that. Will be back soon and will be my go to place for fish n chips from now on.

If you like modern style fish and chips - very clean, so clean, nice-looking, but not a lot of flavour, give it a go. If you like good old fashioned fish and chips, don't bother. My wife summed it up best with a "not worth the calories".
Impressive service. Even though the shop was busy when I went to pick up, our pre-booked online order was available to take, right to the minute it was booked for. Nice, fresh looking shop, plenty of staff, and order was well packed for takeaway.
Battered flake was a good size with a nice light modern batter, which I don't mind, but tbh I do prefer original style. Modern style is a bit too crumbly, and too often adds nothing to the experience. Here, it was 'ok', but yes, added nothing. The so-called gummy shark was a nice clean looking piece of fish, but not the gummy shark of old. It was too wet and loose, not nicely dense like a proper gummy. And no flavour like you get from a dense gummy. Grilled flake was a bit on the small size and unexpectedly came with a little green salsa style sauce, which was actually quite nice. Tartare sauce good.
Chips were ok, nicely cooked but no real fish'n'chip shop flavour - blame the modern oils people use these days. Not a generous portion, but big enough, and twice cooked so crispy outside fluffy inside.
Moreton Bay bug roll was just ok, and served cold. If you've ever had one in Brisbane on the river, where the bug is a whole piece, battered, and warm, you'll be disappointed in these. But they were ok.
Potato cakes - terrible. Just terrible. Not all that bad tasting, just not a 'potato cake'. They were like crumbly-battered 'mashed-potato' cakes i.e. They tasted like mashed potato, not like a potato cake should. And that texture - urgh. If you like the potato cakes here, ignore my review. We are different people.
