41 SAVERS SAVEUS?
I live on the opposite side of town but I was out this way picking up a Marketplace item. I saw the Savers sign as I was passing through & decided to turn in to have a geezer.
I did grab a few clothing items, which i thought were decently priced for the brand. It's true, though, that some items (older items too) were too dear. Like, you could probably find them on sale for cheaper in a retail store and at least it will be brand new Not sure if those doing the pricing are aware that this store is meant to help folks save, not put them outta pocket
Also, the person manning the self serve area does watch like a hawk from behind you. It didn't bother me because I guess it's their job but I can see how it'd make some folks uncomfortable.
I'd come back again if I was ever in that part of town but that's not likely to happen any time soon.
Some things are really over priced and others are value, however be extremely careful of electrical, they may do electrical safety checks but that doesn't mean it actually works.
As far as Savers goes. It's the only one I've ever been to. Large, friendly staff. You can find some great bargains but sometimes the items are wrongly priced and more expensive than buying them brand new.
Always fun op shopping trying to find designer brand clothing that's expensive elsewhere and cheap here. Sometimes though you won't find treasure one day but find it the day after:)
Huge store. So much variety. Clothing is well separated into sizes. Prices are good but not as cheap as smaller independent op shops.
Was served by CHLOE rude bossy girl. She deliberately left my items in a mess for me to pick and fold.as if I was the cashier not her.
Has become way too overpriced in recent times. Remember this store pays $0.00 for its merchandise. Yet, in many cases that I've seen, it charges more than new retail price for second hand gear. Fair enough they support charity, however in doing so they are also price gouging their needful customers. They've also recently introduced a new nonsensical rule forcing people to only exit the store onto Main St rather than into the rear car park. This again demonstrates Saver's reduced desire to service their customer's needs. Staff are imposing this rule eagerly with a military like discipline, though are unable to explain why. Plenty of other places to hunt for a bargain.
The staff here are honestly so very sweet. They clearly work hard and I'm always impressed at how friendly and down to earth they are. Great job Greensbrough Savers!
If i could give 0 stars i would.lowest experience, service was horrible, smelt disgusting, my hands would itch when i’d touch the items.items weren’t even half decent.everyone working there looks like a junkie
was refused refund for my item i just bought & and was given $52 when my item was worth $60 - unprofessional
would not recommend spending a cent here.
Excellent store for all sorts of pre-loved items. Lots of clothes that are easily and clearly sorted into different categories.
Excellent covid safe measures, we were greeted by check in signs both digital and physical, as well as helpful staff counting the amount of people inside the store as entering. Sanitising stations everywhere and of course wonderful bargains! Was served by a friendly customer service representative. Always a good trip!
Take the time the browse the many bargains here! A great place to do your part for reusing and upcycling!
Always love coming here, huge variety with decent prices just more costly than your local corner op shops which is down to your budget. Some of my best finds are from here love it
Over priced for donated goods. Went to savers today and looked at jumpers the ones that I thought were half decent were about $18, rubbishy ones even were $12. I could go to Myer when they have a sale on and for not alot more get a new one. It looked like everything has gone up considerably. I left without buying anything and doubt I'll be back. I'd rather go and support an actual Op Shop who are working for a good cause rather than getting free stuff from peoples generosity and just using it for their own profit.
Poor customer service, staff are rude and accusatory. High prices for low quality items and charge more than the items cost to buy new. Only after profits for their private business. If you want to go op shopping go to Vinnies or Salvos, better service and prices and your money actually goes to charity.
I always enjoy going to Savers in Greensborough can always find something you want staff are always so friendly and helpful
Always a happy experience in this store! Ruby always has a beautiful smile to greet you with. Staff are always friendly. Something in this store for everyone!
Great place, all staff lovely except one horrible lady who targets people and attempts to humiliate them in front of other customers she is nasty nasty
Always something fabulous at this second hand superstore. High turn over of stock means you can go regularly and find a bargain. There is a large range of fashion, homewards, books and all kinds of bric-a-brac.
Too many redshirts that think they have power when they don’t. You’re a spot of rust on the cog of the capitalist machine
