Saul's Sandwiches reviews
19 Sandwiches are great as always but the service is terrible. I ordered online for myself and got treated like an Uber drive. I told her my name and she said “it’s coming” then a bit later tried to give me a completely different order.
When I said that wasn’t my order and again pointed to the bag with my name on it she didn’t say anything just turned around and walked off. Then came back and help the bag out again not saying anything. What’s the point of having a person at the counter who doesn’t speak and you need a way to differentiate online orders from Uber orders.
My friend from work who eats here, always hides her sandwiches so it seems that something strange is going on at this joint. I will hope to see my colleague more open about her sandwich purchases going forward before I decide to indulge in a Saul's sanga.
Paid $20 for the fried fish sandwich, and it was NOT worth the price. Flavour was not there, and for the price, the size was disappointing.
I would have been better of going and getting two McDonald's burgers for much cheaper.
Do not reccomend.
Sauls sandwiches are great, but not the ones in Balaclava. Don't know who the manager is there, but they are not running it very well. I drive further to go to the other stores.
Been here a few times, the sandwiches are great. Lengthy size for the price, fresh bread and delicious ingredients. Chips are super good as well and the service is always nice.
This was such a pleasant experience. The shop always seems quite empty and yet I’ve certainly been recommend to visit prior to my visit. So it always shocks me it’s not more packed with people. The decor and overall look of the venue is very well themed and I love the staffs very relaxed yet kind attitude.
I got the chicken parm and I loved it, the only thing I would have opted for is more sauce but besides that the bread was fresh, the meat was hot and everything worked perfectly in the sun. I would love to go back and try other subs and see what they are like but the chicken parm is a simple but quite nice start.
I recommend going here to pick up dinner and though the atmosphere is minimal it would also be a nice place to sit in and watch the streets of balaclava from the window overlooking them. Hope all experiences are as good as mine!
Muffin was really simple but the sausage was so juicy, all the things was well flavored especially the sauce!
The latte I had was extremely creamy with good foam on top, lovely.
Good vibes and friendly staff
A bit overpriced but it’s fair to get your food done in 10 minutes while all the brunch places are packed on Saturday lol
Had the Hot Glazed Chicken, the sandwich was of ample size, very tasty in terms of spice, certainly filled my belly. The price is a bit high in comparison to many of the other places around here, but it was an overall nice Sanga.
Epic Parma sandwich! Fresh and delicious. Really good quality mozzarella for the melt and a tender and generous piece of crumbed of crumbed chicken.
Tuna melt, fish burger, hash browns and deep fried pickles, my gosh the food is divine!
Great balance of flavour, mouth feels and stomach fill.
And of course, the staff are always just super!
Service is always very nice. Food is okay but I would consider it a little expensive for what it is.
I ordered the chicken parm. It was yummy but not in the cult way this place seems to be regarded as. For a $16 sandwich it’s not something I’m rushing out for again
My feeling is Saul’s has grown / expanding too fast which has compromised on quality. For the premium price tag my sandwich was severely lacking – the quality of ingredients was sub-par, and the flavours artificial.
I was addicted to the breaky roll but they’ve removed the hash brown from it, kept the price the same, and don’t offer a la cart harsh browns despite them still being on the vegan sandwiches. I am so sad
Love their sandwiches. Think of maccas filet o fish as the wish version of their delicious fish burger. Service staff are always lovely and smiling! So glad they're open for dinner now.
Your barista is fantastic! 5 * coffee. My new daily morning fix.
Super nice dude too. Think is name was Clint.
Order a deli cold cut sandwich which states it has 3 types of meats; salami, ham and mortadella. And I received the sandwich with no meats at all. Why?
The staff over here are just lovely, it creates such a nice atmosphere combined with the design of the store as well just aesthetically pleasing. The chicken Parm is insane, would def recommend and get it whenever I can.
Great staffs and inviting atmosphere. I was recommended frozen coffee to go with my pastrami sandwich and they did not disappoint me! Perfect combination of sweet and salty. Will be back to try other sandwiches too!
