Had a wonderful dinner this evening. The service was impeccable and the food was so delicious! The fried chicken is the best I’ve had in Melbourne. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Super satisfied with food, hygiene, vibe and service! And we really appreciate the owner (I assume) letting us dine although it was 30mins before their closing time. They patiently waited for us to finish when other would have chased us away. We ordered 1kg of chicken with honey soy, sweet & spicy and snow cheese (recommended), jiapche+beef, and teopoki + cheese (excuse my spelling). Would come back again and 100% recommend this place! I think Sayang is underrated, I hope this place gets a 4.5 review.

The snacks given away are the best. Besides, fried chicken is good, but I don't think I will come for the second time.

The ambiance is lovely. They make you feel so welcomed. I highly recommend it. The food is equally impressive, with a menu featuring an array of delicious options that are sure to satisfy any appetite.

A very comfortable restaurant with a homely feeling. Been here a few times and every time I've been pleased with the service from the kind staff. The fried chicken and chips set and the kimchi fried rice are my go to. Highly recommend.

Had a craving for fried chicken and this place was local. Ordered the 1/2 with bone - in and honey soy sauce. Their kim chi seems pre - made and functional I suppose.

The Korean beer that I had was good. Twice fried chips unexpectedly good. Batter also really thick and crispy so they have that down pat. Though was put off by the chicken and didn't finish my meal here.

The junk restaurant is not worth going to. It's very rude. The food is always wrong, and the taste is completely wrong. The feeling is still sour.

Went to get takeaway and witnessed staff member (older asian man, possibly owner) being so rude to Uber Drivers. Driver wanted to use the toilet and the staff member wouldn’t allow him to and was so rude to him. Disgraceful! Food I saw looked oily and there was an unpleasant smell in the restaurant. Didn’t order, walked out and won’t be back.

Great food and service! I once ordered takeaway for pick up and they accidentally gave me an 8 piece chicken and chips instead of the 16 piece I ordered. They called me immediately and delivered the rest of my order at no extra cost. They even gave me extra sauce. Lovely restaurant!

Update Oct 2022: Had dinner here with a friend and the food was still amazing! Only run by two people yet still fantastic.

My husband and I LOVE Sarang. Beautiful service, attention to detail and great prices considering the quality of ingredients and artistic presentation. Thank you! We keep returning. Highly recommended. Lovely bibimbap and the combo set is great.

Food was excellent, staff were friendly and everything came out perfectly paced.

Portion sizes were surprisingly large on the set menu which was very cheap for the quality and variety of food we received.

I will be returning with friends.

Made an order through DoorDash. They confirmed my order and proceed to work on it.
One dasher went to restaurant and then they cancelled the delivery, then another dasher went and cancelled the delivery also. I asked the third dasher to please give me a call, he called me and told me that the reason was the restaurant was closed. This was 1.5 hours after I ordered.
Why do you confirm orders if you have the restaurant closed? I had to contact DoorDash and got my money back but many places were already closed. I understand you have to close the shop for XYZ, but you need to not take orders you can’t fulfill. Made an official complaint with DoorDash about it

A hidden gem, delicious food, good selection of drinks and really nice atmosphere. Felt like I was in a hidden alley in seoul

I order whole chicken and chips on Monday via DoorDash, the site no option to be choice for flavouring leave a note but they don’t acknowledge. Chicken was tasteless. I don’t recommend this restaurant. - - - AA

Unfortunately my wife ordered full sized fried chicken from Sarang tonight via Deliveroo and the chicken served was unfresh and was very unpleasant to eat. We could not accept what’s been served…. We previous had Sarangs takeouts and other meals and usually they are good but not this time…. Restaurant owner please take responsibility with the food you serve…my wife only had one bite and couldn’t continue on….

Horrible food and horrible attitude by staff. They’re rude to uber drivers as well. Wouldn’t spend my money on an establishment like this again.

Worst fried chicken I have ever had in my life. The chicken was off, it is disgraceful serving this kind of food to any customers. It could lead to serious hygiene/health problems. I couldn’t even finish one piece as it was inedible and tasted really bad. I hope the owner take this feedback seriously and improve.

Happened to walk past the place and decided to have some Korean Fried Chicken for takeaway. The chicken smelled really good and the batter was crunchy. I chose the spicy sauce so that was on point as well. However, I could have given it a higher rating if the chicken was marinated. The batter was delicious but the chicken was a little tasteless. Second of all, I ordered the 8-piece in-bone fried chicken and one of the pieces I was given was the chicken neck. I felt that counting the neck as one of the 8 pieces was a rip-off, if you ask me. No doubt, I advocate zero food wastage but honestly, a neck as an extra piece was a bitter pill to swallow for me.

Was charged a surcharge without my knowledge and they dont give you very much for the price you pay. $17.50 for a very small Bibimbap.

Good quality and value Korean food, only tried one dish so far spicy pork bulgogi in the meal deal. Look forward to trying others!
