Saporo Cafe

Food is tasteless and extremely expensive. Wondering how this place is still open…
Waitress told me there were no cheese in the sandwich, which wasn’t true as I found pieces of cheese. Thank god I didn’t have any allergy because that place would have gotten a lawsuit.

This end of prospect Street needs more options for food and coffee; unless you walk up to box hill central, 2 far for an 15 minute break. Could be friendlier, maybe have favourites amongst regulars. Coffee fine

Soporo Cafe Box Hill is definitely one of the better cafes I've visited lately. I ordered a skinny cap, extra hot with 2 sugars and a jam donut. As is usually the way when I order my coffee extra hot I was expecting to receive it at like warm or regular temp but not at Saporo, it was exquisitely hot to the point where I had to wait quite a while before I could sip it without burning my tongue, that's the way I like my cappuccino so to receive it as requested was a nice surprise. The coffee was very nice tasting and lo and behold, the barrister actually stirred it so the sugar dissolved rather than just letting it sit on the bottom like so many do. I don't understand the practise of putting sugar in and not stirring, ‍️The jam donut was fresh and had a lovely dusting of fine castor sugar, very enjoyable. It was fairly late in the arvo when we were there, they were actually closing up but there were still a few people there and more coming in so I think this is a very popular Cafe and for good reason.

Had to say Saporo has the best price and food quality by far, coffee certainly did not disappoint either! Amazing atmosphere with ample food selections. Staff were bubbly and helpful too!

I had the pleasure of using Saporo Cafe for some catering. They were friendly, obliging, catered to dietary requirements and our food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

What an amazing range of options, prepared freshly on site, and all so tasty. Try the egg omelette wraps, they're amazing! Coffee is hot and flavoursome, great start to the day.

Large generic corporate-feeling cafe. Friendly staff and my coffee was very good. Still very much in covid recovery (hardly anyone around). So hard to know what it's like when busy.

I work in the area and visit Saporo regularly for a soy latte. They are one of the best coffees in the area and the staff are always friendly!

Had a catered lunch that was sensational. The salads were so fresh and tasty and the cakes were the best I've had. Highly recommend!

Ordered catering from here and cannot praise the service enough! Kira was an absolute delight who put up with a lot of questions, dietary requirements and last minute requests. Food was fresh, delicious and generous in portion sizes. We will definitely order again when we are in the area!

Very quick service, menu recently has changed Im told, but food is excellent. $40 all you can eat.
