Saporito Cafe reviews
57 Experience really great food- particularly brekkie! Also great coffee - what more could you want?
Go to Saporito Café ️
Waited over 40 minutes for food and were then served over cooked eggs, cold hash browns and were served store packaged waffles.coffee was good though.
Best service best coffee best everything - don’t sleep on saporito it’s best cafe in Southbank without a doubt ️ Say hey to Matthew for us
UPDATE 04/06/22: Went back to Saporito cafe and the manager kindly offered 2 x coffees on the house as promised, and we also had a delicious pistachio and raspberry croissant. It is always appreciated when businesses listen to customer feedback and make the effort to solve any issues promptly. Would definitely come back and enjoy more of their menu. Thank you!
ORIGINAL POST 26/05/22: A star for good portions, a star for quick service, a star for nice flavours… but minus two stars due to the incompetence of the staff using the eftpos machine. He accidentally under charged by almost half on the eftpos machine which I paid with card, but as a honest customer, I went up to him again to point out the mistake and to pay the difference. Except I ended up paying the card surcharge twice as it was split into two transactions and paid more than the total… all because he pressed “4” instead of “7”… slightly annoyed
Where do I start…?
Saporito Cafe rocks and leaves such a great impression!
Hospitable and friendly staff, delicious dishes with beautiful presentations, wide variety of food for all who visit, and if you have a sweet tooth try the wonderful desserts on display… so good.
I cannot recommend this cafe enough.
I will be back here again and again and again.

The ambiance is very welcoming! Amazing coffee, food and service. Staff are knowledgeable & friendly.
Grabbed some breakfast takeaway as we were staying at the Quest. Staff were really lovely and helpful. We enjoyed the big breakfast, some fruit toast and orange juice. The juices were fresh and delicious. Food was cooked so quickly and was hot and fresh. Perfect portion sizes and really tasty.
Peeps and pups, there ain’t no better place to get a coffee for the hoomans and pupperchino for your doggo- also bonus! You get plenty of pats from friendly staff and cafe vistors
Nice coffee but the breaky deal is a bit of a joke. You get a dry, half sized bun with one egg and a piece of bacon with a coffee.
Edit to reply to owner: As I said the coffee was nice but the size of the breakfast burger was tiny and not filling at all. I could see the breakfast burgers stacked up in the window at the counter and that's not what we received. It didn't taste fresh, bun was dry, didn't taste any aioli or cheese.
My colleague also received the wrong type of coffee and originally I had this review at 2 stars but felt it wasn't fair considering it wasn't me.
Holidaying from Darwin and came across this little gem! Beautiful coffee, delicious breakfast, great service and food came out quick considering how flat out they were. Will definitely be visiting here again!
- Very expensive, alright food, missing food items -
My girlfriend asked for the vegan version of "Smashed at Saporito" (Avocado with fetta cheese, sweet pea tendrils, radish, cherry tomatoes and beetroot on multigrain) with extra grilled tomato and hashbrowns. This cost was $18.5 + $5 for the grilled tomato + $5 for the hash browns
All she got was two pieces of toast with avocado, 4 tiny slices of radish, 4 tiny cherry tomatoes and 2 hash browns. Not only were there no sweet pea tendrils or beetroot, but they charged $5 for a grilled tomato that wasn't even in her meal.
There are much cheaper and better places we could have gone to for brunch.
We had a fabulous family breakfast here. Staff were really friendly and very accommodating.
The coffee was excellent too.
We started to wait from 10: 30 am and couldn’t get our meal until almost 12: 00 am. We understand it was Saturday and it was busy hour. But it was still no acceptable to keep us waiting so long. No one came to check on us and we had to ask the waitress by ourselves twice. The poorest thing is our poor four-year old had to sit there for such a long time which was a torture. Very disappointing!
Amazing cafe, delicious food and super friendly staff. I’ve been here twice and both times were exceptional. The food is presented with such care and decorated well. Great location in Southbank. Can’t wait to return!
We went for breakfast and loved the service and quality of food. One of the must visit places in Southbank for nicr breakfast
Slowest service I have ever encountered. Waited over an hour for eggs Benny only for it to come out cold and the sourdough so hard you could barely cut it. 2 stars only for the wait staff as they are exceptionally
The best place and most loving staff working.
Best coffee made perfectly!
Loved finishing my morning run and walk with my baby at this lovely place that catered to our family and needs!
The food is excellent, generous portions and great prices. Such a great selection, the menu has lots of variety. It’s a family owned café attentive, friendly and fast service.
With Melbourne coming out of lockdown, it was extremely busy last Saturday but the team continued with their high standards and customer service.
I would highly recommended it to everyone.
Matt and the team are always welcoming with excellent service. We have been here on many occasions from simple takeaway coffees to sit down lunches and I can highly recommend adding Saporito to your regular stops if you live in Southbank or are passing through.
Been here a few times. Nice coffee and nice food with a great range on their menu. Unfortunately there is always something minor that's came up like slow service, wobbly table, a cooking issue or stock issue. It doesnt ruin the experience but it is notable and I come away happy but a little incomplete.
Still one of the best cafes in the Southbank area and definitely recommended for a visit.
