SANKRANTI AUSTRALIA reviews
71“”””””””Bad experience, quality less food””””””Not at all happy with the quality of the food, getting very bad smell while eating, had to throw all food into the bin. I don’t recommend.
I always love coming in to this space. Everyone always makes me feel at home and welcome. The food is consistently good, and affordable. They have an extensive menu, so you'll never be lacking options, and they also offer an all you can eat buffet at times.
Vali is an amazing chef when it comes to making Sambar Rice and Biryani. What makes it special is how much he cares about the food he makes. Every meal he cooks is really great. He's a cooking expert, and his Sambar Rice and Biryani are some of the best you'll ever taste. If you ever get a chance to try his food, don't miss it. Vali is an awesome chef who deserves a lot of praise.
Went for buffet on Friday. All curries were good and tasty. Biryani's are not up to mark like dum or Hyderabadi biryani. Peas Pulav was better than mutton/chicken biryani.
Food, service and the ambience were good. Had a lazy sunday afternoon lunch here. Would definitely come back as I heard their Friday evening buffets are good. We tried Mutton Biryani, Chicken Biryani and Chicken 65
Very good options for vegetarians, food was not oily, breads were very soft and fresh. Loved the flavours of aide dishes too!
A good restaurant with Indian food. The people were very kind. Did their work with a smiling face. The food is excellent. This was the restaurant which had very close taste to that of the Indian food. It is my favourite restaurant in Barkley street.
We catered food from Sankranti for our event- all veg. It was delivered piping hot and absolutely tasty. All our friends liked it. We often go to Sankranti driving 30 mins to taste Pomfret fry, egg pulusu, ragi sankati, ulavacharu recipes.
Never going back. The Food, service and the wait time was just ridiculous. We never got served plates to start with. Had to grab cutlery from other tables. Ordered Chicken 65 Biryani and they just sent plain rice with batter fried chicken. When asked the owner about it, we were told the masala for biryani rice was used up for jumbo biryani orders. When asked about the poor service, the owner was not happy and answered rudely that they do not have staff and they cant help it.
If you are ordering food from this hotel, expect a minimum of 3 hours time. The food will definitely not be hot by the time it reaches your home. It will be ice cold in winter. Their attitude is only because of the food taste. They will give you varied types of excuses for delay of hours. E.g: It is the delivery guys fault (where the delivery guy is the owner of the establishment coming in a Volvo car) or that theres huge traffic when the roads are empty at midnight. Sometimes if you are lucky you will get the food but half of the items will be missing or replaced based on their own will with something else which we didn't order. I am only putting this review here because they have been lying to me everytime I order from here
Every single time. The will update in the app that it's delivered in 1 hour but in reality they take around 3 hours. EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Worst ever tasted till now that too sankranthi pure Telugu one which had lot reputation in past
“Ridiculous”Customer service, staff aren’t even trained properly how to deal with the customers. Lady who was serving us was in a position of not explaining us about their menu️ How she can handle the restaurant? Now, comes the food. It was not properly cooked and lack of salt in every item. The price what they are charging and the quantity they provided us was not even appropriate. I recommend the owner to hire a better staff or change their chef!
It has a really extensive menu which is a little off putting. And they throw in dishes like Thai beef salad onto the menu which really isn't very encouraging. But this place is a gem if you pick the right dishes. The Pani Poori is served with shot glasses although they are bigger and taste better at Delhi streets. New that they also had a robot server. Gobi 65 (spicy fried cauliflower) was also a standout. Their briyanis are tasty but a little in the oily side for me. (Biryani king in footscray has less oily versions). Their palak paneer is awesome too. Naans are decent. Nothing exceptional but not bad.
Worst food I have ever had
Arrogant staff
Even tables were nit prepared for servoce
No forks no spoons no tissues and even with the food served no serving spoon
Even staff didn’t bothered anything
Never visit again
Live live live this restaurant. Authentic and delicious Indian! Butter chicken will melt your heart and the lassie! Yum.
Staff great and helpful, food cooked quickly and portion sizes are spot on.
The innovative customer service (a robot delivers your food) and ambience is good. However, food is on next level high. Good place to celebrate special occasions. On weekends or busy hours, finding parking near by can be a challenge. There is ample of parking in the vicinity of 100m though.
Recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. We had a chicken and fish curry with nan. Both curries were very flavourful and well portioned. Service was fantastic and efficient. I will be back to try the other dishes
They deserve negative star due to their worst, mannerless uncultured behaviour to their customer. Food quality is average compare to other indian restaurants.
If there is a option of giving zero star I would have given that. The worst tastes ever had. Completely stale. Don’t waste your money and time.
It was not up to my expectation. Sheekh kebab was too dry. Beef vindaloo! Was it actually beef vindaloo? Same curry sauce used for all the curries. The place was a little dirty even the robot tray was not cleaned properly. The staff could put a smile.would change the whole ambience of the place. Not going back.
