Sandringham College 10 - 12 Campus reviews
7Blazers and uniform are the most important thing at the school, it comes before wellbeing and health, my daughter was riding to school wearing a jacket on a 10 degree morning and was given 2 detentions for not wearing uniform. She is now at beaumaris and loving it. Some kind teachers but from my experience the majority were very lacking in empathy.
Would recommend, particularly if your children are creative, because of the Fantastic teachers, however, it's a shame about the principal, who lacks creativity and often vents her frustration at the students by verbally abusing them during assemblies, which really, in this day and age, is unacceptable.
We have two children at this school, one on the senior and one on the junior campus. There's a wide variety of programs on offer across sport, the arts, and sciences. We had a bullying issue a couple of years ago which the school dealt with quickly and hasn't recurred. The senior campus is fairly run-down but that's government funding for you. No hesitation in recommending the school.
Fabulous school! Helpful, wonderful teachers- particularly for kids who are artistic and right brained. Love.
This school is SO EPIC! The teachers are so nice and wellbeing is. However some students can be really rude. I went here and had a good time, the teachers are patient and teach really well. The students don't define the school though! However the books for English we read were sooo boring! >: (
This school is great for year 7 students as all resources are put into this year level. This is done in the hope of recruiting new students and families to the school. Many great teachers are at this level too. Unfortunately from Year 8 onwards this is not the case. The quality and standard of teaching and attention to the students drops off rapidly. Now the Year 10,11 and 12 students are all bundled into the senior school site so more Year 7 students can be enrolled with the false hope that they are entering into a great secondary education. Personally I am extremely disillusioned in what I was led to believe Sandringham Secondary had to offer. Some teachers can't even speak English well enough for the children to understand and learn from.
Please think carefully before enrolling your child into this school. It could be very damaging to your child's welfare and future learning.
