Sanders Apples (U-Pick and Tours) reviews
12Really friendly service from the moment you walk in to being shown the U-Pick orchards. Great value for money especially when the apples tasted so good! Highly recommended.
This was a gorgeous morning in the Yarra Valley. Arrived early, got straight on the tracker for a ride and some information. Rode past the dam and the orchard, seeing the two main varieties of apples. Then we explored and picked for the next 30 mins, and ate as many as we could, which you are allowed to. Managed to fit 27 apples in my 2kg bag. Then we bought apple juice, sparkling apple and jam. Just a stunning setting, friendly knowledgable staff, good parking and facilities. Would definitely return again!
Very nice place to visit with your family tasty apples and friendly staff highly recommended
Great day out with our two boys, very family oriented- Kate helped us with her picking tips and about the area, her dad took us on the tractor tour and we learnt about the history and the apples (very friendly and answered lots of questions) and we finished up eating our yummy fresh apples on a walk past the lake to some refreshments and good company at the picnic area/kiosk by the entrance. If your kids like eating apples this is a real winner - our son did most of the picking for us:). Thanks Kate and family who run this really well, was a great day out and will enjoy the fresh Granny Smith and Pink Lady apples for the next couple of weeks!
Beautiful and well maintained apple farm in yarra Valley.we enjoyed our day visit. 25$ for 4 people for apple picking.
What is better than picking juicy apples directly from the tree?
It's a place worth visiting. Had a great experience plucking the green and red juicy apples from the tree. Wonderful orchard and the staffs as well are really friendly.
Brought your Kanzi for the first time from the local IGA. What a great apple. Large, very juicy and sweat. Delicious. Thanks
Gary.
Kate runs an excellent U-pick; very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The apples are always delicious and the orchard is great to walk through, would recommend to go whenever the U-picks are available.
Great place to pick apples. Not too crowded. Tractor driver, who is one of the owners of the business was fantastic. He gave us heaps of information about apples and growing them.
I visited yesterday and have a look at the Apple Blossom that is visible on the block now. It is in a lovely setting the Orchard hidden within the setting of the state forest in the background and a lovely irrigation Dam along side. I did visit for the Kanzi apple festival they had earlier in the year and I think that was a huge success for everybody that visited. I don't think I met anybody that was disappointed in the fruit or the setting. They had some face painting and a jumping castle for the kids I think the family's enjoyed the day.
Sanders Apples (U-Pick and Tours) is listed as "Permanently closed". This information is incorrect and misleading in that this is one business and tourist attraction that is by it's very nature "seasonal". Unfortunately, maps will not permit anything other that "Permanently closed" or "Open for business" so I cannot make the appropriate edit. I have changed to 5 stars as I missed the 2019 season and I felt my initial 3 stars was unfair.
Wow. What a beautiful orchard. Fantasic selection of the freshest apples. Thank you for the great tour.
