Not honest with their food descriptions. For example, soft shell crabs were actually fake crab sticks in the sushi rolls. Sashimi platters were unavailable. Prawn tempuras were tiny and not fresh.

Place was beautiful, spacious and welcoming. Food was cooked fresh, wide variety and tasted great. Make sure to try the scallops and galbi ribs! Also the cocktails were great too!

The food was overall good and met my expectations.but the fried food isn't as crunchy as it should be.

The lamb was also way too sweet.but the sushi and other things were pretty good. **strongly recommend the cheesy grilled scallops.

The service was not perfect because some of my food I ordered did not get delivered.and when I asked, I was told that everything was delivered to me.

The atmosphere of the restaurant actually suprised me quiet a lot. It's so nice and really brings a good mood when eating.

Such a well set up place for a night out. We booked our Xmas party there and just had such a good time. Fully interactive and a really nice set up and great food.

Beautifully designed place, staff are friendly and very attentive! Good variety of items on the menu (especially for the all you can eat - $47 pp). My partner and I got full very quickly and didn't require the full 90 minutes, but felt comfortable having a chat to digest!

Loved Sanaicho! I’ve never tried an all-you-can-eat Japanese fusion restaurant so I was amazed by the variety on the menu, the speed of service, and the beautiful indoor courtyard with the fairy lights. Their volcano rolls and scallops with spicy mayo are must-tries ️

Pretty slow with service to start with, took a while for our food to come out them all came rushing out towards the end of our time. However all the food was amazing except the katsu chicken slightly overcooked

As per some of the review recommendations, we decided to come here on a Monday night as we heard the weekends can get quite busy! The buffet menu was such great value, and we very full after 90 minutes! We found the quality and presentation to be superior to Okami. Would definitely recommend!

Fri night. First session. First visit with family. Ordered early before everyone else arrived. Fast… then nothing. Waited for orders to arrive. Nothing. Asked where are orders were. They were still checking kitchen. Ordered more. Still waiting. Very disappointing considering the good start. Worst part is that it’s all you can eat, but food is brought out. Considering the price, and the “all you can eat” nature of the business, it falls far short of expectations. Food was good… when it arrived, but, we only had 1.5hr for our session, which was not enough considering the wait times for our dishes.

Japanese all-you-can-eat? Yes please! Sanaicho is located on the busy streets of kingsway in Glen Waverley. They have a great variety of menu items and for dinner, it costs $46.80pp (Monday- Thursday) and $52.80pp (Friday- Sunday) with unlimited orders for 90 minutes! This doesn’t include their drinks though, The drinks featured in this post is the ‘magic in potion’ — vodka, citrus syrup with butterfly pea flower tea ice on top ($17.80) and ‘cloudy blue’ — gin, citrus syrup, blue curacao, lemonade and cream on top ($17.80).

They had so much delicious food! This includes their cheesy scallops, sashimi (kingfish, beef, salmon, tuna), chicken karaage, sushi rolls, takoyaki, tofu, vegetable croquettes, salads, udon, rice etc! I don’t know much buffets in melbourne which have all you can eat sashimi for less than $50 so this is a pretty good deal! The sushi rice was really good quality for buffet style meals, and I really enjoyed that volcano roll (although I do miss their ebi roll which was a personal fav, but it’s not on the menu anymore ️) I also really liked their miso salmon, it was a warm and flavourful dish and of course you can’t go without their cheesy scallops!

Overall it’s really decent quality for buffet food, the menu selection is quite impressive, lively atmosphere, food came really quickly for us, and we had really good service during our visit?

look at all the food we got worth just 46.8pp! ‍ you can eat to your hearts content with all their delicious japanese dishes! We recommend to come during weekends as on Mon-Thurs, it’s only 46.8pp while fri-sun it’s 52.8pp we also suggest getting the scallops with spicy mayo, best dish there as the sauce compliments the scallops well! Their chicken karaage is also crunchy and juicy? And don’t forget to try their volcano roll and their salmon mentai aburi as they are the perfect saucy sushi dishes! Good value meal?

Outstanding. It is so good you wont go to the other Japanese buffet chain that we all know that is scattered across the state after going here because you get the gourmet style here and it so good. I will be back. Hope they expand.

ALL YOU CAN EAT JAPANESE! For an all you can eat meal, the meat was surprisingly fresh, with good flavour combos, and was presented nicely. I was so full but we ordered seconds for the scallops, salmon and kingfish tataki because it was so good.
