San Remo Fishermans Co-Op reviews
54We always go here for the best fish and chips ever… but today was a bitter disappointment! Firstly our order was mixed up then had to wait another half an hour but that was ok … until we got our order and started eating! Chips were cold in centre and greasy fish was just ok, scallops were all batter and so were prawns. We threw it all out to seagulls! Sign there says to be nice to staff … well should have been a sign there to say … be nice to customers as they pay our wages! Would l be so eager to go again? No!
Really fresh fish as you would expect. Good portions and reasonable speed of service given how busy and popular the place was.
I think it's just ok, if you cant be bother to bring lunch to your trip to Phillip Island you can stop by here for your fish and chip but do not have a high expectation as I believe the fish and chip are just so so. However price and serving is quite decent.
We ordered the family pack and also grill fish.
Parking is not hard as plenty of space available.
Reasonable busy, so wait can be a bit long.
Chip serving size is too big per person.
Price's are reasonably.
Nice food and good service. Great view of the bridge and boats between San Remo and Phillip Island.
Love the location. Place can be hit n miss. Fish n chips are over priced and staff can be rude on occasion.
Absolutely fantastic fish&chips cooked to perfection and value for money. The staff were amazing people happy and so polite you made our weekend.
Love this place, was down for a couple of days and had dinner there twice in 2 days! Best fish and chips by far!
Nice freshly made fish and chips for a good price. Can also enjoy watching the fish men unloading their harvest from the sea.
Had lunch here today Friendly staff Covid safe practices done in distancing and vac check The flake was thick moist and not oily the scallops same very impressed with the quality and speed of service (Buzzer pick up from counter) Excellent view from deck perfect for lunch or dinner
Nothing better than eating seafood with a view of the water & fishing boats.
The setting is absolutely perfect. And if there’s no seating available, there’s a grass area across the way, and there’s also the fishing pier.
Very well run and organised, all covid protocols are enforced and adhered to.
There’s a huge menu with plenty of choices - everything is freshly cooked to order.
The Gem Fish is succulent and delicious. The fat chips crispy outside and fluffy inside. Calamari rings were so good too.
My family has frequented this venue for years and today I was refused service due to not wearing a mask which I have an exemption for due to being heavily pregnant with underlying medical issues. The treatment was appalling and I was made to feel like an outcast. I left in tears.
We always stop here for fish and chips when visiting Phillip Island. They are some of the best and freshest fish and chips we have found! We usually take home some fresh duck fish to have for dinner too and its always delicious.
Very rude. They discriminate against people who have a medical condition who can't wear a mask. I walked out and went to number 121 about 500 meters up the road
One of two of the best fish n chip shops you will find.the other one is at Rhyll.not surprising given the fishing fleet at San Remo
Was given high expectations but unfortunately wasn't overly impressed. The fish was very fresh however batter overall was oily and a little soggy.
Very well organised for checking in with QR Covid Code excellent keep the system going in the future once out of lock up you get the customers through much quicker.
The food fresh and fantastic tasting.
The lady on feeding the Pelicans very informative learnt a lot about the Pelican life circle.
Fresh delicious fish and chips, short wait time. Fresh fish Bar had a great range of fish. Adjacent parking and ramp or stairs for entry
4 stars for the flake, it was thick and juicy, the chips get a 3, they look great but are just missing that initial crunch, still tasted great. Potato cakes limp and tasteless.
Service was great on a busy school holiday day
