SAM Singapore Mathematics

I just want to send a big thanks to Sue and the team at S. A. M in Glen Waverley for all their support and great teaching here! My daughter used to dislike Maths due to her lack of sound understanding of numeracy, Mathematics concepts and problem solving skills. After one and a half year learning at S. A. M and Sue, she is now confident in understanding Maths concepts and using them in tackling harder problem solving questions. We can definitely see the improvement in her maths works and results at school, as well as NAPLAN.

My boy attended S. A. M for 2 years now and I’m so pleased with the results. It is quite rare to find a teacher like Sue: an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated teacher who genuinely takes an interest in the children’s work and progress. S. A. M has fuelled my boy’s interest in maths. Last year, he received a certificate in the Australian Maths Competition after placing top 1% of his year level in VIC. This year, he received the top score in the Global Academic Challenge for his year level in Maths. We have no doubt that the teachers at S. A. M are instrumental in helping my boy achieve these remarkable results. I have recommended S. A. M to my friends and will continue to do so!

My son has been going to S. A. M Singapore Maths and English since he was 5 years old, and over the years we have seen his confidence, success and passion for Maths and English grow. We chose S. A. M. S over other tuition programs (like Kumon, James Ann) because it was based on the Singapore Mathematics syllabus - has more structure and it's more "real-life" problem solving than simply solving numbers.

My son is now in 5th grade and has recently received his NAPLAN results where his scores per subject were all above the nation-wide average. I'm appreciative and know that S. A. M. S Singapore Maths and English has greatly contributed and elevated his confidence, speed and knowledge in achieving such high scores. As a result of his NAPLAN results, he was invited to participate in the Victorian High-Ability Mathematics Program 2022.

Sue and the team are amazing teachers, attentive and passionate about helping children thrive in Mathematics and English. Therefore I cannot thank and recommend S. A. M Singapore Maths and English highly enough to any family who wants their children to build a excellent foundation and passion for Mathematics and English.

On our first meeting, my daughter sat down for an hour trial class with Sue. She’s already liking her as a teacher and her teaching method. Sue and her teaching team have shown very high level of commitment in delivering quality teaching. I can sense their passion across the room during remote learning. Despite steady stream of worksheet to complete, my daughter takes delight in completing them, pressing on without complaint. My daughter received her Year 7 NAPLAN result recently where her numeracy is beyond band 9, outside of the upper limit to be specific! Thank you Sue and her teaching team at S. A. My son recently received his year 3 NAPLAN report and the results were outstanding including his numeracy test! He has achieved well above the expected level of achievement for Year 3 students. I’m sure S. A. M classes and worksheets have prepared him to be able to answer the challenging problem solving questions in the test. He is always motivated to attend S. A. M lessons whether it be onsite or remote learnings. The online classes are very well structured and the students are engaging fully throughout the lesson. The teacher is very patient and always willing to take time answering the questions. It’s effortless for him to do the extension maths questions for his school homework. Thanks S. A. My son has started S. A. M program (online during COVID lockdown) less than two terms ago.
At the beginning he found it very challenging as the lessons are fast paced and at a high level. He said he didn’t need extra homework and wasn’t sure he was going to continue, but at the beginning of his second term on the program something changed.
First he could see that his mathematical thinking skills advanced, as did his confidence in school, and then he started enjoying the challenges. In his words he said “When I complete a really hard question it’s as satisfying as dribbling against 3 soccer players on the other team. ” Now he says he completely understands why it’s called Seriously Addictive Mathematics, and he completes it before his school’s homework. Highly recommended by my 12 year old son Dean and myself, Miri!

Highly recommended Maths tuition center. Small group of learning environment with patient and professional teachers has been helping to develop my kid's mathematical thinking skills. My son himself can see the benefits of SAM and eventually build up his confidence in Mathematics.

My daughter enjoys going to her SAM class and she does the weekly worksheets with no complaints. I like how they introduce each concept clearly with lots of diagrams, which is good for visual learners. And the problem solving questions really ensures mastery of the concept and not just about memorization. I’m also happy with the teacher and the small class size.

Kids are loving this practice because of that’s a small group learning process and they have more opportunities to interactive with the teacher. It must be fun to learn math because of the way the teacher presenting and approaching to students. I truly believe this is the best thing had been introducing to my kid at young age.

Sue and her team of very patient and dedicated teachers makes learning maths fun and easy for the children! Small class sizes and grouping children according to their ability ensures that the children are able to grasp the concepts. Weekly worksheets are well planned to further enhance their understanding.
