Dr Salihi, doesn’t even deserve the one star!
Since he operated on me 2019, at Francis Perry Hospital, I ended up with lots of complications & I had to be transferred to another hospital to be looked after with pic line for food& water& antibiotics!
Ended up in hospital 20 days all up& lost five Kilos!
Not to mention that the reason for my stomach blockage was that, his clinic manager TRACIE has emailed me the night before the operation instructions & it says: have light breakfast at 6.00 am& come in for 10.00 am operation!
I didn’t think that’s right for an operation that big, not to fast the night before! So I rang her up& double checked, but she dismissed my concerns & said: no that’s right& she hang up! Rude& uncaring, to say the least! When he came to see me four days later after he’s come back from his weekend away, I showed him the email on my phone, he said, I’ll have a word to her! Not good enough Dr, when both of you still sitting on your chairs & going out, having fun with your families, while I’ve been disabled from your shabby work for four years!
Two years ago, I’ve sent him the MRI which showed the damage, it was done in another ED when I presented with extreme pain, he sent me to his colorectal surgeon in the public section!
The dr said to me: I will speak to Salwan, tonight& someone will definitely ring you tomorrow!
Up to this date, no body did!
You can keep running Mr Salihi, but you can’t hide!
He doesn’t like to follow up& waste time on his patients, once he’s got the money upfront, the rest is history!
I kept going back to him complaining about my unusual pain. Then he cornered me at the public urogynaecology section where I was there for an appointment & called me in& said: here, fill up the forms& I’ll put you in upstairs under me for another operation! Which was done after ten days after! Nothing had improved& I kept telling him! All the time to do something! He’s very good in hand balling his mistakes to pain management!
I made an appointment one day to see him in his clinic, then Maria Emailed me& said: Dr Salihi said: he no longer has my files& I should ring the public & make an appointment there! I did& they told me: I haven’t been there for a while, so my file has been closed! He’s the head of the public section, remember?
So he could do what he wants!
I rang again& asked for an appointment in Berwick with him, he was happy to charge me& tell me: I don’t have your file here& he referred me to this woman & when they rang me up, I asked, what is her specialty? It Was a gynaecologist!
hand balling me to another gynaecologist, I told her: he’s supposed to be the specialist who operated on me& he should own up to his mistakes & fix it!
From there onwards, I have spent at least $50,000 on specialists, to no avail! They all bonded together & none of them will treat me! You get the: nothing is wrong attitude, till the day you die!
He did a hysterectomy & removal of the mesh all by himself, despite of me asking him beforehand to have a colorectal, urologist surgeons&pain nurse standing in! He said: NAH, I’ll do it all by myself!
And when he was faced with broken mesh inside me, instead of calling on a specialist to help, he proceeded to do it by himself!
I’ve been very patient till now& I can no longer continue to pay the price of his mistakes!
Where is your duty of care towards your patients Dr Al- Salihi?
Non existent of course!
I don’t want another woman to suffer, like I am suffering at his hands!
Do your homework, ask where did he get his qualifications from& how many operations went wrong under his hands? Before you proceed! Who trained him to remove mesh& how successful they are? Before he uses you as Guinea
Disgusting to say the least!
The system which protects the big fish& allows them to eat the small fish, is broken
Updated review!
Up to today Dr Al- Salihi hasn’t responded! Never come forward to help his patient! You can keep running, someone who’s more knowledgeable, will catch up to you one day! God is great

I recently had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Salwan Al-Salihi. Twenty-five years ago, I experienced birth trauma, which has had a lasting impact on my everyday life. Over the years, I've reached out to various healthcare professionals, including GPs and gynaecologists. Unfortunately, my concerns were often met with dismissal and minimal acknowledgment. However, when I crossed paths with Dr. Al-Salihi, everything shifted. Dr. Al-Salihi is not just a remarkable medical professional; he's also a compassionate and empathetic human being. His unwavering dedication to his patients is evident in his every action.
Dr. Al-Salihi took the time to listen, to understand the depth of my experience, and to validate the impact it had on my life. He didn't just treat my physical health; he addressed the emotional and psychological aspects of my trauma with great sensitivity.
Under his care, I felt safe, heard, and respected, which, in itself, is a profound healing experience. His ability to combine exceptional medical skills with genuine compassion and understanding is a rare gift. Thanks to his remarkable care, I find myself on a path towards healing, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
I also want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Maria and Tracie for their seamless communication and assistance right from day one.

I have had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Salwan for several years, seeking treatment for my endometriosis, and I cannot emphasise enough how grateful I am for his exceptional care.
From the moment I met Dr. Salwan, his approachability, empathy, and understanding shone through. He genuinely listened to my concerns and took the time to answer all my questions, ensuring I felt supported and informed throughout my journey. Unlike my previous experiences with other specialists, Dr. Salwan explained complex medical concepts in a way that was easily understandable, providing me with invaluable knowledge about my condition.
His attention to detail and dedication to my well-being were evident in the way he guided my recovery process, ensuring I experienced minimal discomfort and a swift return to normalcy. My most recent surgery, has been the most successful to date, and I couldn't be happier with the results with finally being able to live pain free.
It's worth noting that I travel well over two hours to see Dr. Salwan, which is a testament to the trust and confidence I have in his expertise. I have not hesitated to recommend him to my friends who may be in need of a compassionate and knowledgeable specialist. Dr. Salwan's exceptional qualities as a physician and his unwavering commitment to patient care make him truly deserving of my highest recommendation. Maria and Tracie have also consistently gone above and beyond to provide me with the utmost care and support. Their kindness, helpfulness, and genuine concern have made a significant impact on my overall experience.
I am incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Salwan. His approachability, empathy, and expertise have made a world of difference in my journey with endometriosis. I am forever grateful for his outstanding care he has shown me.

I had both my children at Royal women's hospital but it was after the birth of my 2nd child that lead to a serious prolapse. Over a year of seeing a physiotherapist and with little to no improvement.

I did my own research on Dr Salwan he is highly regarded gynaecologist with years of experience. He genuinely cares about his patients and makes a tailored treatment plan. I knew I was in safe hands and he honestly provided such calming environment for me.
My surgery went smoothly and I feel better than ever 6 months post surgery!

You don’t have to live in discomfort. Improve your quality of life. Get the prolapse fixed!

Thank you very much Dr Salwan and team for the level of care I received.

I had referral sent through to Dr Salwan Al-Salihi on 22 June 2022. The appointment was booked for 3/8/22, I was advised I would be out of pocket $230 as I am not a private patient, however they CONFIRMED on this day, he could still see me, as he was seeing public patients (although it would be out of pocket - this was fine with me - as I needed help). My medical history has been sent to his rooms, and my confidential personal details. Prior to my scheduled appointment with him at 4.15pm on 3/8/22, I informed his rooms (after receiving sms to confirm my appointment) on 1/8/22 - I had an MRI scheduled on 3/8/22 at Royal Women's Hospital at 10am, and Tracey the practise manager at Dr Al-Salihi rooms advised me that they prefer to reschedule my appointment so they have the results of MRI. She rescheduled the appointment to 17/8/22 at 4pm. On Friday 5th August, I received a phone call from the receptionist Maria at Dr Al-Salihi rooms, advising me they had to cancel my appointment - as Dr Al-Salihi had informed his staff THREE DAYS AGO, he would not see anyone now, unless they had private health insurance. My appointment was originally made in late June 2022, then re-scheduled as they wanted my MRI results, then to be told over a month later, the Doctor has changed his mind and will only see patients with private hospital cover. This has caused me a delay in getting treatment, I have shuffled my other commitments around around to accommodate them, only to find he had changed his mind THREE DAYS AGO (my appointment was booked over a month ago, re-scheduled by them over a week ago - and then on 5th August, cancelled altogether). Highly unprofessional conduct by this practise and this Doctor.

Had a urethral diverticulum that could not be diagnosed at Sunshine hospital till I went see Dr Salwan. Operation went well, didn't even need painkillers afterwards, no pain at all. So happy that he was my surgeon, would recommend to everyone. He's also hilarious. Such a shame he doesn't deliver babies anymore otherwise I would have asked him to be my obgyn

Mr Al-Salihi is an absolutely fantastic surgeon, he provided me with helpful guidance regarding my surgical options prior to surgery and the actual surgery went perfectly well, like clockwork for me. Not one issue post-surgery. The whole experience and outcome was professional and positive.

I have booked with Dr. Salwan for my delivery from abroad, not knowing what to expect.
I was lucky to have him as my OB, he was professional, friendly and most importantly patient when it comes to labor/delivery. He was constantly there at all times even after birth. He is one of the best!
