Salvos Stores Mentone reviews
12 Good selection/items.
Rude staff, monitoring how much you can carry/fit even though the store was nearly empty. ‘You can’t try all of this because it takes too long and people are waiting’.
Then proceeding to pass people in front of you at the checkout even though you were waiting as well. Not very nice.
This is an overdue comment: I came in to donate my bag of clothing but one of the old lady workers asked me to take it to the back in an unpleasant tone. Never come in to donate to this store again!
Quality brands and friendly staff. Store is amazingly well organised and clean.
We’ll be back again
Have a lot of Christmas items belong to deceased estate taken them to Cheltenham store, grumpy old bloke complaining that they have to store everything till Christmas in other words we don’t want them, why not put out on sale people will buy things not as if they buy things.
Won’t donate to them again or their red shield appeal
DON'T DONATE TO THEM EVER. We just went to donate at the Florence Street Salvos store in Mentone. I AM HORRIFIED! We came to the drop off area to give five carts of clothes and in the five minutes that we were there they were in the middle of randomly just THROWING OUT PERFECTLY UNDAMAGED PLATES, CUPS, TOYS, AND MORE! They only stopped when I mentioned to my husband in disbelief what they were doing. If you are a kind person thinking that they even CARE OR APPRECIATE YOUR DONATIONS YOU ARE WRONG! I GIVE THEM 0 (zero) as a rating from what I just saw today. If you want your donations to go into the bin you can do it yoursrlf and save the time and effort of bringing them anything they don't care not after what I saw. If you want a place that passes donations forward and does not just throw them out the OZ CHILD store in Highett Road is very kind and friendly and have a great cause, helping disability.
My favorite local Salvos. Feel so good every time whenever I am here with kind and lovely staff. Everyday I can find something new and interesting here. Thanks to the lovely staff makes this atmosphere.
The Mentone store has a wide selection of items to choose from. The staff are curteous and helpful.
This store tends to have a habit of overpricing items for what they are and can even be more expensive than buying the same item brand new.
Great Salvos store with super friendly staff who care and actually know my name. Been going there multiple times a week for about 8 years. Great place for books, jewellery, clothes and all sorts of eclectic items. Its across the road from st Augustines oppy which I have been going to weekly for 25 years so it's great for a double visit. It does not have much space so please don't donate large furniture.
Great staff, friendly team and amazing stock on hand all the time. The store manager and fellow team members make it a priority to put out good quality items at affordable prices and I always walk away with fantastic buys. Assistance is brilliant and you just never know what you're going to find. Always worth a look if you're a local or just stopping by on the way through!
Nice store. Seemed a bit high on the prices but not bad. All the stuff seems in pretty good condition. It's well organized and the cashier was friendly
The biggest waste of time for a second hand clothing store. Selling a mimco bag for same price as a store would
Donated a big bag by mistake. Went there the next day and only a few items hanging up out of a huge bag. They claim it all must have sold. What an absolute load of BS! I'm absolutely devastated that I can't even buy anything back. The whole truth is not being told here & the staff weren't very caring and even had a bit of attitude. Won't donate to them again - not this store anyway. Thanks guys, precious memories gone.
