Salvos Stores Lilydale reviews
12 Been shopping here for years, but noticed many items are now priced to market values. I can see decent items are priced according to what they are worth in the open market. Don't ask to negotiate the sale price as I have been denied.
It's a real shame as I want my money to go to a good cause but feel that the essence of Op Shopping is no longer the same.
I am questioning who I donate my items if pricing of items are out of reach for those at these stores that really need them.
The hunt for a bargain is now a myth at Op Shops.
Friendly and caring. 4 mandala colouring books maybe found that might be used for mindful breathing while you observe your colouring.
All is phenomena
Like a dream, an illusion, a bubble and a shadow. Thus can meditate upon.
Loving-kindness & Compassion.
I come here fairly often to look around for some bargain clothes or miscellaneous items, every staff member I have met has been welcoming and friendly. Not a huge store but it has a nice variety of items.
A lovely local iconic store that I've both donated and purchased from. Great place to browse.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful.
It's ok. Regular salvo store prices which I consider too pricy. Getting a parking spot isn't good at all. The prices in this Salvo store is pricy and the selection of items wasn't at times worth the visit. Staff are friendly and polite.
Small little store which I found on my way to the Yarra Valley. Brilliant colorful merchandising throughout the store and the window displays were modern- a far cry from some other Op shops I have stepped into. Found a pair of real Burberry pants and a 100% alpaca woolen jacket which were also half price that day. Pity I live out in the west, as I noticed the town had a number of little thrift stores to visit.
Very friendly & helpful staff, especially the young man who served me named Zen.
Great stock also - if you do the searching
10/10
Great place for a bargain. Only stock good stuff and staff are helpful and friendly. The volunteers do a great job there.
The new manager at this store has made the store look amazing. He has made changes that the store needed by extending ladies wear and moving kids wear to where kids/parents are more likely to buy. Merchandising with accessories/clothing in the front windows and throughout the sore have looked like they have been taken out of a David Jones/Myer store
I enjoy coming in here for picking up odds and ends, you never know what you may find. Good to support the Salvos too.
I don't support the organisation very much but the people who volunteer here are good people with well intentions, also it's decently sized place in a quiet space. I've had a few good finds here
Staff as a whole seem pretty great:) pricing on clothes and manchester is super reasonable when it is certain coloured tags discounted each week, I've found ceramics and other basic homewares to be a bit pricier than the Mustard tree and Vinnies. Definitely still worth a look though.
