I decided to travel from the western suburbs to try some op shops in a different area. I was absolutely shocked at the prices in here. Large majority of the store is sorted into “designer items” which aren’t designer at all. Most of the women’s clothing is above $15 with some items asking for $25 and above. Just pure greed here. You’re a charity!

Everything worth buying is Over priced.
They used to be good but now just greedy. They can't even use their pre-made tags, they're all custom jobs like this: (very sad

The team of staff and volunteers at Salvos Abbotsford are brilliant. In clearing out our mother's house, we wanted to make a donation of furniture and household items to an op shop. I rang Salvos Abbotsford, and spoke to a brilliant member of the team. After sending them a full list of the items for donation, we arrived today, and the team had made space, and - despite the huge amount of unplanned donations that they have to process on a weekly basis - were ready to accept everything. I strongly urge people wishing to make large donations to contact the store and schedule the delivery. The work that the team does must be exhausting, yet they are friendly, courteous, and so understanding to deal with. #loveyourlocalopshop

I managed to find a parking spot out the front the other day yay!
I wanted to drop off an unused foot brace and a couple of country road cushions but having multiple sclerosis and mobility issues struggled to grab items and focus on not tripping or falling
The lovely young man came to my aid wheeling the donation bin to me omg

LOVE this salvos! Always has the best designer/vintage items! Fair prices, even better with student discount on Wednesday! I always spy reseller’s here so you know it’s a good spot. Its a NFP so i know whatever i spend has a positive impact on my community.:)

Awesome thrift spot! High-quality pieces at great prices. The shoe section is divine and they have a cool "retro" rack in the front of vintage stuff. Got a lovely linen dress, a tank top, and a pretty ring for $34 AUD.

This is a great sized salvos store and our favourite in Melbourne. Always plenty of choice and friendly staff

Haven’t been here in a while as it’s not a salvos very high on my list but they’ve changed some of the layout which doesn’t look good at all! They’ve killed most of the book section to move men’s clothing over. And the prices are crazy ridiculous! A men’s blazer with a rip in the material down the left arm was still selling for $15! The middle aged man serving wasn’t friendly at all. Didn’t offer wrapping to the 4 glass cups I bought and left my purchases in a pile.

This is my favorite opshop so far. It's a huge building with a tonne of inventory, from the walls of books and dvds to the clothes, kids section bric a brac that is sorted by colour and the furniture and electrics.
The variety is huge and it does get rather busy at times because of this.
Several donation bins are lined up outside so even if one is full you should be able to find another that isn't. As it's against a road with parking you could potentially pull up and load your donations straight from the car into the bins.
There are a decent amount of change rooms and the done with hangers are cleared pretty often. Plus there is seating in the shoe section to help with trying on.
I've found some high end bargains in this store, sometimes they're priced too high but you can usually still find a bargain. I've also found some really random items in this store, and my Instagram story usually gets filled with the items I see in this store. They also seem to get the odd truly vintage items through.
The customer service haa always been pretty decent on my visits and a staff member will usually offer assistance if your looking at the locked display cases.
Set aside a decent amount of time to explore this store, there's so much to check out.

Staff are backwards and they need to re-think selling items that could be considered offensive to some demographics. Please avoid

Large store, friendly staff and fairly organised. Like more and more Salvos stores, there’s a tendency to overprice things, but it’s still fun to rummage and it’s possible to find a bargain.

This was my favourite op shop in Melbourne and I used visit weekly, but it is just getting too expensive. $48 for a beaten up pair of Nikes.getting to be a bit of a joke now. Miss the old op shop prices, this isn’t a vintage store.

Lots of furniture, good prices on that stuff. Staff helping looking for other items out the back. Salvos needs to display more clothing, range is small compared to Savers.

I travelled to the salvation army today and I found that the store had everything I was after, and the people who work there were so polite. I recommend this salvation army store to everyone who likes visiting these excellent stores.

It used to be really good, but recently everything has become very expensive $10 or second hand T-shirt and $30 for jeans they used to be less then half that price. I wont be coming here anymore as everything is way to expensive.

I live very close by and now with the Store being open - it’s a go-to Store where staff are fun and helpful - it’s my home away from home - eclectic selection - prices are good - the book section is outstanding - like being “at the Library” - and there is a great cafe about three doors down - with the most amazing muffins - my first time - the muffin was straight out of the oven - warm (the was raspberry with white chocolate) - hope i remember that combination right! A morning and/or afternoon of fun - and you meet heaps of people - there is always someone up for a chat - forgot - the age is called the the Mothership!

Great location- easy to slither up from the creek, near the footbridge, grab a bargain, then slither back down again into the mud.
Thanks
