Salus Day Spa reviews
19The best massage ever! Michael is absolutely amazing! Thank you for renewing my body and soul!
The team at the spa are AMAZING. We experienced a range of treatments over 5 days and each one of them was a fabulously relaxing experience. Thank you so much to everyone (especially Michael), many thanks.
Wonderful, floated out feeling very relaxed, all the tension removed. Michael was brilliant, found all the knots and tight muscles and made me feel relaxed and taken care of the whole time.
The best spa experience ever! The massages were so relaxing and comfortable. The treetop soak was totally worth it. It's a very calm and soothing place.
Harmony Ritual Couples massage done by Lisa and Holly, who were nice and friendly. Our experience was super calm and relaxing. I fell asleep at one point. First time experiencing a massage integrated with hot stones which felt amazing!
Absolutely amazing place! So tranquil. The natural surrounds take you to another place as you unwind and let go of the stress of the every day.
I recently spent 8 days in Heaven on Earth, a place others call Daylesford, to celebrate my, what I call, F-wording Fabulous 50th. I had pre-booked a ritual treatment with The Spa at Lake House for birthday eve. Oh my gods! Holly was magical! I felt soooooo blissfully goooood after my 3-hours of ritualising. Floated back to my accommodation and immediately booked in on my last day for a Harmony Ritual, and the Aged Aunt, (my FF50th Sojourn companion), booked us in for another mini-ritual a couple of days later. The Spa at the Lake House is my new favourite place in Australia. I am already thinking of an 'excuse' to go back. Thank you soooooo much Holly, Michael and Jenna, the magicians of wellness, who made this newly-50ised gal feel a lot younger of body and soul. The Spa at Lake House is an absolutely must-experience for all visitors to Daylesford!
We (my wife and I) love spas and the past few years we have been trying out different spas and bath houses. We loved hot springs at mornington, we been to hepburn, daylesford etc but this place takes the trophy when it comes to service. We met Sarah and felt like we had met the owner of the place yet she was just a worker there. We applaud the team that attended to our massage, best massage ever. Thank you and we will be back. There are some spiders in the single mineral bath houses, if that can be attended to I will add another star. We will be back
Had a treatment at the spa: massage and facial. The service was amazing! They are also very accommodating to pregnant women.
I wasn’t very impressed by the room the massage was in. They put me in a room on the second floor that looked nothing special (that was the only disappointing part, since when you walk into the spa you imagine the rooms will be as beautiful as the entrance or the rest of the hotel).
The rest of the experience was great!
Friendly and relaxed staff, beautiful setting, I had a 90 minute pregnancy massage and it was excellent followed by the jet shower. Will definitely be back.
Amazing afternoon at the Lake House, relaxing spa treatment with friendly service, followed by a delicious lunch in the restaurant
Agree with others regarding facials being cut short with time and poor technique. Never again.
Waited 20 mins to be taken to room so my hour facial did not happen!
Not worth the money paid, very disappointed
I had a 60 minute massage with a 60 minute facial. The massage was nice but I was extremely disappointed with the skincare, a cleanse plus 2 grain exfoliants and a slapped on mask which cost almost $200, I could have done better myself at home. No serums, facial tools or sunscreen used, despite it being 27° and sunny upon leaving, my advice BYO sunscreen if you plan on being outdoors afterwards. I explained that I had sensitive skin, so I would have expected one acid exfoliant rather that 2 grain. At one stage I felt like my skin was being ripped off my face. Hot cloths were used between products to slosh off the exfoliants which I felt were way too hot for my skin, I can only explain it as boiling water on my face. No toners were used between products. If you love your skin and are going there for skincare, don't bother, save your $$$ and go somewhwere else.
Great food and even better service. We were looked after by a lovely gentleman, Niccolo. The venue is beautiful. I would recommend a stroll around the lake and balcony between courses.
My partner and I booked a 1 hour massage followed by a 1 hour facial. The staff were lovely but the experience itself was quite disappointing. Upon entry we were a bit surprised not to receive a robe and slippers as is typically expected in a "luxury" day spa. We were asked to sit and fill out a form with quote "as much detail as possible". We were very disappointed to have our treatments in separate rooms especially considering we booked this as a couples retreat. The massage was certainly not what we expected as they didn't take any of our comments on board, we simply received a generic 1 hour full body massage ignoring all of our specific requests / preferences. During the treatment, the worst part was the fact I could hear people outside talking, drinking and laughing the whole time which certainly effected my ability to relax. Obviously the spa is quite small and just tacked onto the hotel but I'm surprised they don't make an effort to address it. The post treatment experience was very disappointing. Just a glass of water before paying the bill. Compared to other Day Spa's we've been to, I would not recommend this place. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but certainly not worth the price you pay. It is a safe assumption the 5 star reviews are based on the hotels reputation rather than the spa itself. Save your money, try somewhere else. Best of luck!
Ultimate package - woooowwwweeeeee! Tiffany and Julie were super amazing, really professional and the whole treatment was incredible. Thanks so much team!
We spent a lovely time at the spa with a mineral bath and massage. Friendly professional staff, stunning views - we will be back!
Very clean, professional service and staff, relaxing experience, looking forward to my next visit.
We had a 30 minute mineral spa. Then my husband and I had a 1 hour massage and our therapist were Julia & Natalie. Honesty they were 2 of the nicest therapist we have ever had. Great service. Thanks girls for looking after us.
