Saltimbocca Italian Restaurant

My family had a wonderful dinner to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The food, wine and service were absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant?

Loved every dish I’ve tried. Perfect balance of flavours. The tiger prawn linguine is a must. Great service. 4* for atmosphere as the restaurant is small so it felt quite cramped with everyone.

I am one of the fussiest eaters of all time and would prefer to cook my own food because it usually better, however, not in this case, I had the ribeye steak it was absolutely sensational, my partner Sharon had the Tortellini with calrab which i tasted also and it was to die for! Massimo and his staff are all extremely good at their jobs and make an effort to open the door to see you out. I hope you all enjoy your upcoming dining experience, I’ll be having the veal scallopini on my next visit. Bello.

It was our first time dining here and everything was amazing. My boyfriend and I traveled to Italy for 2 months and rest assured this restaurant served very authentic delicious Italian food. The crème brûlée and the tiramisu is definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. The service was outstanding, we’ll definitely be back for more!

I Ordered take away based on reviews and was so excited to then get home to open my 36$ veal scallopini to a slop mix of a small amount of mash, a thin paper sized slither of veal and a small strip of bacon, packaged in an oversized container that the food also moved around through travel to make things worse, also ordered pasta that the container was only half full.

I called to give my feedback and was rudely told that the portions they serve and that's how they package it, I was not offered any compensation for the small destroyed food I received after spending 70$ on 2 main meals.

The young girl on the phone should of at the least offered some sort of discount on a return visit at the least as with the food and service I have recieved I do not want to return and when collecting my meal i was hoping to dine in next. I have uploaded photos of the veal we recieved.

Every once in a while you come across a real gem like this. Went on a bitterly cold Monday night and was surprised to find the restaurant almost at capacity!

The ambiance and decor was tasteful and not overly showy, the service was polite without being overbearing, and the food is a delight.

Can recommend the Arancini, the gnocchi Quattro formaggi and the creme brûlée. Food was delivered quite promptly which I appreciated as I was famished!

I will definitely need to come back.

We dined at this establishment mid week and loved it. I believe the true test of a good Italian restaurant is their veal scalopinni and their home made pasta and sauces, we were not disappointed. The Veal was tender and the right blend of sauce and mash with the slightest hint of garlic, it was well presented and served in a timely manner, very nice. The crab pasta special was also very very nice the sauce was light and a very good compliment to the crab. The wine list is not extensive and could more accurately describe the wines or recommend a dish match but we chose well and it all worked together beautifully. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Went here with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day dinner. We were only given the option to order off of the $90pp set menu unless we had allergies to seafood, where they said they’d make an exception for the entree. However, after ordering, tables next to us were given the option to order off of the normal menu. On top of this, we were charged $13 for mineral water! Maybe this experience comes down to being naive, but I feel I was taken advantage of by the staff. Food was ok but not worth the price. Won’t be coming back.

Excellent service from the moment my wife and I stepped into the restaurant. Felt welcomed by the host, who’s recommendations were exactly what we wanted. Fresh, homemade, high quality pasta. Best in Melbourne
